The school bell had rang, I looked outside as the sun was setting down. The clock showed us that it had past six o'clock in the evening. I did my routine as usual: packing up and leave about. It was just another normal day in school.
Today was quite windy, despite how it was still sunny. I walked out of the school and towards the streets, until I heard someone calling me from a distance.
"Takata-san!!!"
"Takata-kun!!!"
Great...
I sighed, knowing that it was Motoki and Yuna charging towards. I kept walking as usual, unable to run away from them. It felt like as if they put a tracker on me, since they knew where to find me around the town.
"Takata-kun! Let's have some chat while we walk home all together!" Yuna cheered, and she quickly held onto my arms tight.
"Talk about chatting, it's been like two weeks since we finished our exam, and we haven't talked about it yet." Motoki added.
"Oh you're right! How was the papers for you?"
The two talked to each other about exam papers we did in the recent, without me having to interrupt. I focused on myself walking home, not wanting to think anything much. As the three of us kept walking, I started to wander off in my mind, thinking about what happened back then in the train... the moment I had with Ayumi.
"Takata-kun...? TAKATA-KUN!!!!"
I startled, realizing that I was dozing off.
"Takata-san, are you daydreaming again?" Motoki teased me.
"Huh? N-No, I was just thinking of stuffs..."
"Takata-kun, you're mysteriously unpredictable sometimes. But I like you that way, hehe!" Yuna spoke.
"O-Oh... That's, one compliment..." I went blank for words to reply to that.
"Oh well, we're at my stop already. See you guys at school tomorrow!" Yuna bid farewell to us, and left the group to head inside her home.
Me and Motoki continued our way to our homes, as he striked up another conversation once more.
"Takata-san. Who do you think will get the top position in class for this exam? I bet it's gonna be Yuna."
"Top position in class...? I don't wanna think of it..."
"Huh? How so?" Motoki questioned me.
"Who's got the top position, who's got the most lowest, doesn't matter to me. My life doesn't depend on those things."
"You're quite different. I've never met someone who's as humble as you. I mean, before you came, everyone fought to become the best student in school, and some do get popularity and attention because of that." Motoki explained, I gained a new knowledge and lore about this new school I'm in. "I think one day you'll become one of them."
"Me? Being famous in the school...? Why would I..."
"Well, the way you study and taught us is really great and convenient, we like people who help us. Also, you got good looks aswell!" Motoki complimented.
