2-Manorama at the Haveli

The night passed sulking..

Next morning,
At tulsipur haveli..
There was a knock at the door which woke anirudh up. He saw bondita's photo..smiled faintly and went to open the door.

To his surprise he saw Manorama standing there.

Manorama ran inside the haveli - bonditaaa...bondita kaha ho tum?

Anirudh shouted - Manorama

Manorama - anirudh..bondita kaha h? Maine vada kia tha use agar usne apni koti mujhe di to main use uske pati babu lauta dungi...chali jaungi uski or uske pati babu ki zindagi se...ye kade..yahi lautane ai hu usko..uski amanat use dene..

Anirudh was boiling with anger listening to her and he shouted - chupp..bilkul chup..ek shabd or nhi Manorama...nikal jao is haveli se...mujhe tumhari shakal bhi nhi dekhni

Manorama (shocked) - kya bat h Anirudh? Aise kyu bol rhe ho? Mujhe ek bar bondita se milne do..main chali jaungi..or tumhe bhi to dhanyavad khna tha meri madad krne ke liye..tum nhi hote to...

Anirudh- hn..main nhi hota to sab thik hota..na main hota ..na meri tumse shadi hoti...na bomb hota ..na blast..or na hi bondita mujhe hmesha ke liye chodke jati..he cried

Manorama- chodke jati matlb?

Anirudh- chali gyi vo..hum sbse door...bhut door...kabhi vapis nhi aegi..tumhari vajah se sirf(he looked towards her with anger filled eyes)..tumhari..

Manorama- maine kya kia Anirudh?

Anirudh- tumne hi feki thi na vo bomb vali koti? Ye jante hue ki bondita thi vaha..or tumne hi mujhe is yojna ka hissa bnaya..tumne hi kaha tha na agar main tumse shadi krlu to bondita ka man padai m lag jaega??

Manorama- hn anirudh..lekin..

Anirudh- kya lekin Manorama..kya lekin?? Manti ho na tum tumne hi kaha tha..tumhari vajah se...tumhari vajah se meri bondita chali gyi merse door..meri zimmedari thi vo..nhi nibha paya main...he shouted. Tumhe to parivar se lagav h nhi..kisi ki parwah nhi h tumhe..to mera dard kaise smjh skti ho..par main tumhe kabhi maf nhi kar skta..kabhi nhi

Manorama (in high voice) - bas anirudh..bhut suna liya..hn ..koti feki thi maine..kyuki apne desh k liye kuch bhi kar skti hu main...lekin yojna ka hissa bnna ya na bnna tumhare hath m tha...tum ae the mere pas...mere mandap p tumne ki thi shadi..maine nhi bola tha..bas sath diya tha tumhari soch m ki bondita ka dhyan padai m lagega..sari galti meri nhi thi...or apne parivar se kitna pyar krti hu ye tum nhi jante ..is bare m kuch na hi bolo to acha rhega..

Anirudh fell on his knees and joined his hands - chali jao manorama...nhi dekhna chahta main tumhe.. tumhe dekhkar yad ajate h vo sare pal jab bondita ko chot phuchai maine...yad ajata h kyu sara parivar chodke chala gya mujhe..he cried

Manorama sat down - parivar chodke chala gya?

Anirudh - hn...sab chale gye...bondita thi to sab the ..vo nhi to koi nhi

Manorama - mujhe maaf krdo anirudh...Desh prem m dhyan hi nhi diya ki bomdita bhi usi or bad rhi thi..

Anirudh - kaise dhyan nhi diya...tumhe andaza bhi h kya kuch barbad hogya tumhari is ek galti se

Manorama bowed her head but didn't say anything

Anirudh - ab ek chiz sudharlo..chali jao yaha se..koi nhi dekhna chahta tumhari shakal...main to bilkul bhi nhi..chali jao..he shouted

Manorama stood up with tears in her eyes - ho ske to maaf krdena mujhe Anirudh and she left.

Anirudh sat their crying remembering bondita.

MAINE KAHA THA SATH RAHUNGA,BANUNGA MAIN TERA SAYA,
PAR TERE SANG KUCH KADAM BHI MAIN NHI CHAL PAYA,
TU SAHI THI TERI ULJHAN MAIN SMJH HI NA PAYA,
TU GYI TO KYU NA JANE KOI KAMI SI LAGE RE,
MERE DIL M JAGA DARD TERA..
RISHTA TERA MERA, RISHTA TERA MERA...(×4)

Anirudh- kya jawab dunga sumati ma ko...vachan dia tha unhe..kaha tha zimmedari h meri bondita..or maine..

He wiped his tears - sumati ma..unhe to bondita k bare m kuch pta hi nhi hoga...unhe khabar to deni pdegi..hn..aj hi jata hu..

He reached sumati ma's house and knocked on the door

Sumati ma opened the door - arey jamai babu ap? Aiye na..andar aiye..she welcomed him in..bondita kaha h jamai babu?? Apni ma se milne vo na aye aisa to ho hi nhi skta..

Anirudh remained silent

Sumati ma - boliye na jamai babu..kaha h meri bondita?

Anirudh cried - chali gyi ma bondita ...chali gyi chodke hume..

Sumati ma was confused...anirudh narrated the whole incident to her.

She stood still without any emotions

Anirudh- maf kardijiye ma mujhe

Sumati ma- jamai babu..apko apni bondita sonpi thi maine..uska khayal rkhne ki jagah apne usko...a tear fell from her eye.

Anirudh- ma main nhi rok paya us..

Sumati ma- manorama se shadi ki sehmati di thi apko..apke upar bharosa krke..par mujhe kaha pta tha ap meri bachi ko hi...

Anirudh fell in sumati ma's feet - maf krdijiye ma...he cried

Sumati ma - mujhe akela chod dijiye jamai babu..ap jaiye..she joined her hands....maf krdijiyega mujhe

Anirudh stood up confused why ma apologized to him but left without making any eye contact or asking anything.

On his way to tulsipur...he found everything getting black around him and in no time fell unconscious on the road. Crowd gathered around him.

What happened to anirudh? Why did sumati ma apologize to him? Was it because she asked him to leave or something else? Did she make any mistake?
