Locked Away Beast (Robin x Beast Boy)

Beast boy opened his eyes, finding himself stretched out on the crouch. A thin blanket was spread across his body. He smelled the food of meat and he rolled over and put his face in a pillow to block out the smell. 

"Hey, Beast Boy are you awake?" He heard a whisper and someone moved onto the couch. 

It was Robin. Beast boy could tell immediately. He let out a groan, curling in on himself.

"Are you hungry?" Robin asked when Beast Boy responded with the curling.

Robin reached over and tangled his fingers into Beast Boy's hair and gently began to rub throughout his scalp. Beast boy leaned into the touch and let out a hum of enjoyment. 

He smiled when he saw Beast Boy lean into his touch and Robin leaned down and scooped Beast Boy up into his arms and laid back against the couch.

"I don't wanna eat" Beast boy whines. "I can only smell meat."

Robin sighed, "Sorry, Cyborg got up to make breakfast before you woke up so that you wouldn't have to deal with the smell."

He nods slightly, "I'll just go out and get some vegan take-out." Tries to stand up and stretching. 

Robin frowns, "Should you be going out in the public?" He asks. "What if Lion-Mane is out there waiting for you to leave the tower."

"I haven't been out in weeks, Robin. I am part animal, I really should be getting some sunlight other than on the roof of our tower." Beast boy stood up. "Plus, I think some time by myself would do me some good."

Robin grabs Beast boy's wrist lightly, "Could I come with you? Just to make sure that you return alright."

Beast boy smiles. He cared about Beast Boy, it made Beast boy feel special.

He is going to leave you alone. All of them are. They aren't your friends. They only want you here because your powers are useful to them. You're just as useless to them as you will be when you're all alone.

Robin intertwined his fingers with Beast boy's and he looked at Beast boy in the eyes. 

"Please...."

"Alright." grips Robin's hand, "Just...don't leave me alone..."

Robin looked over his shoulder, "Hey guys, we are going to get Beast Boy some vegan take-out. See you in about half an hour. If we are any later I will text one of you!" Robin calls out as they make their way to the elevator. 

"Be safe, friends!" Starfire calls out and Beast boy responds with an 'okay'

The town was filled with humans and Beast boy smiled at everyone, only some responded with smiles, and some just turned in awkwardness. 

Robin held Beast Boy's hand and he found himself blushing with the feeling of being loved swelling in his chest.

"Hey Beast Boy, I have a question?" Robin suddenly asks.

"Shoot." Beast boy hummed.

"What is your real name?" Robin asks and Beast boy is silent for a minute. He hadn't really told anyone of his name because he never really trusted someone enough to tell anyone of his name.

"My name is Garfield." Beast boy muttered, "I never really told anyone about my name. Not since I turned into a green shapeshifting animal."

Robin pulled Beast Boy over to a bench and they both sit down. "I think your name is beautiful. And, if I am being honest Beast boy, I think you're beautiful."

Beast boy blushed, "What....you do..."

"Yes." Robin takes a deep breath, "Beast boy, I want you more than just a friend. I want to be there during your troubles and during the best moments of your life. I want to protect you when someone is after you and I don't think I can handle you being in such a state where even going outside is dangerous."

Beast boy's eyes widened, "Robin, what are you saying?"

"I want to be with you, Beast Boy."  Robin leaned in until his face pressed against Beast Boy. "If you would like to be my boyfriend."

Beast boy felt his mind go wild with thoughts. All he could do was lean in and press his lips against Robin. He felt warmth. He didn't feel like he was alone. Like he didn't need someone anymore. He had Robin.

Beast Boy pulled away first, "I want you to be the one good thing out of this world." He whispered. "I love you."
