Chapter 8: Dark Truth

I woke up to find myself hooked up. Goldy must have hooked me up when my programming turned to day mode. I go to unhooked myself but I can't move. What? I look at the time and I grow confused.

12 p.m.

Huh? What's going on? Suddenly, I hear a door open in the other room. "Stay close to me." A man says. "Dad, I'll be fine." Those voices sound so familiar. "Do you know where (y/n) is?" There was a slight pause then the answer. "I think they put her in there but don't go - h-hey! Lily!" Lily?! Suddenly a girl what looks like the age of 11 or 12 opens the door. Wait? That Lily? She was only 5 when I last seen her. I've only been here a mouth! "Lily! Get back-" the man runs behind Lily and it's the manager. "-here." He looks at me as, what is apparently Lily, walks up to me. "Hello....(y/n)...." I feel my head tilt and the manager pulled Lily back. "Dad! She's not gonna do anything!" She protested and pushed him away. "Do....do you remember me?" She asked and slowly walked back up to me. I nod, knowing that have a little more control of myself. She smiles and says "I really missed you....it's been years....." wait....years!?! "I just had my twelfth birthday....I really wish you where there.....I wish I could take you away from here!" The manager grabbed her. "Come on, we came here to look for the records of the business." Lily pulled away hugged my legs, seeing how I'm too high for her to grab anything else. "I promise, this isn't the last time we'll see each other.....I swear...." the manager pulled her off me and Lily start to yell and protest. "No! Put me down!" The manager threw her over his shoulder. "I'm sorry Lily, but we can't be here long." She continued to yell and shout and of course, my programming kicked in again and my vision started to blur. No! Not now! Lily! Lily's voice started to grow silent as my vision goes black.

I'm sorry....that I left.....I wanted to be with her but......I didn't realize how much it hurt everyone here when I.....you left so I came back to you.....to give you life.....to fix the wounds of the other spirits.....they been though so much....you may not understand but, I had to come back before it was too late.....and for this........I'm sorry......I'm sorry....I'm sorry....I'M SORRY!

I woke up breathing heavy and I look at the clock.

12 a.m.

I unhook myself and run out only to see everyone look at me. "Are you ok?" Goldy asked, his voice was soft. I look at everyone and they all look at me with a worried face.
