Chapter 8

Ashley POV:

''You made out with Lily mill?'' My coworker Mira spoke from behind as we made the customers drinks. Mira and I met a year ago when I needed a job anywhere. They were in need of baristas, and I was just around the corner for them to grab like an apple in a food market. 

She is 19 years old and is in my English class. She was held back a grade due to her personal reasons of entitlement of grammar mistakes. I swear if she wanted to become a teacher she can be in an instant.

''It was just a kiss'' I pass the finished coffee's on the table as costumers took each of them in sync.  No one said thank you like they owned the place, god I hate this job.

''The way you described it didn't seem like just a kiss'' She budged my arm and I just rolled my eyes as I finished cleaning up the tables filled with coffee spills and cookie crumbs.

I hear the door jingle as I look to see the famous cheerleader aka Lucia and I look at the guy she is holding hands with as they make their way to a clean empty table. Isn't it not that guy that always hangs around with Lily and that other girl.

And to think I spent the night feeling guilty for letting a so called taken person fill me up. Methorphoricaly filled me up, not like I would ever let her have sex with me. Definitely not her not in a million years.

I watch as he wraps his arm around her neck and she smiles brightly at his confirmation to her to their friends. I could puke at this. There's nothing more that I hate than cliché relationships.

It always so fake, and not real. I grab a notebook and head towards them. Please let this be quick. ''What can I get for you?'' They looked at me and one of them said. ''Uh hmm what do you think is the best option?'' I look who said it and it was Lucia. She stared at me waiting for a response and i wanted to tell her to get out, but instead I said'' Maybe the black tea with herbs and white chocolate cookie''

She looks at me in disgust and replies ''Ew black tea? '' her friends laugh at her comment. I just stand there and just waited for the fucking request. ''Uh we will just have a coffee with white sweetener'' The guy with his arm around her says.

I write it down and walk away. I pass the notebook to Mira as she sighs looking at how many people are in here. ''I'm going to catch a cigarette break'' I remove my apron and place it in the back of the counter. ''Wait, you're going to be okay here?''

She smiles and nods her head as i head out. I grab my cigarette box and see that it's almost finished. I check my pockets for loose change but i barley had $5.49. I spent the rest of my paycheck on rent money.

I hold onto my remaining cigarette and press the flame of my old lighter that I've been using since i was 13. I'm surprised I'm still alive, after all the shit I've consumed.

I inhale the smoke from within and leave it in my lungs for a while then i exhale the toxins out. I feel my throat scratch at me as i cough it out. ''Beginner?'' I hear a familer annoying but annoyingly cute voice reach to me.

''Don't have another girl to annoy?'' I look at her as she smiles at me and walk towards me. I hate her crooked smile, how it always shines when i talk. She doesn't even know me, and yet she is so intrigued by me or whatever is getting her so horny.

I want her to leave me alone so bad but i hate that i allowed myself to kiss her and for wanting her to do more than just kiss me. ''I do but i rather annoy you'' she said in her husk tone as she continued to walk to me. I look back at the window as i see the group staring at me.

Maybe Lily doesn't know about this. Maybe if she saw this it would crush her. Why do i even care about her feeling? I don't. Yet I force myself to grab onto her hand and rush her to the back of the café, so she doesn't see her girlfriend cheat on her.

''What going on?'' she asked me as I let go of her hand. I need to tell her. I try to think of a way to explain it to her, but she stops my thoughts as she walks closer to me.

''Are you in trouble?" She whispered to me and i step back from her accusation. ''Why would you think i'm in trouble?''  her brows frowned as she looked confused. ''I- i don't know, you bring me here and i know it's not from what i'm thinking it is'' She smirked and i was confused from her thought until i realized what she meant. ''Um no, listen that kiss was a one time thing. Okay I was drunk, and I wasn't in my right mind'' Half of that part was true.

She looked at me in disbelief. ''You can think like that but don't say you didn't feel that too'' She said as she step toward me again. I felt my heart quicken uncontrollably and i hate it.'' Feel what?''  she presses her soft cold hands around my cheeks as she presses her lips against mine. I want to push her away but i can't. She leans her lips back waiting for me to accept them again and i do. I lean in and so does she as wraps her hands on my waist as i allow her to put her tongue inside me. She doesn't as she leans back letting me almost stumbling to her.

''You can deny this feeling as much as you want but i won't stop until i know you don't feel the same'' She whispered in my ear and i can't find the words and she walks away from me.

''Shit'' I whispered to myself knowing that i'm starting to feel something for her. I don't know what feeling this is but i don't like it.
