As they entered the boat, Dutch got up from his seat, walked up to Revy and let out a quick joke, drawing laughter from Benny in the background. "I thought by the way you responded, you finally killed Rock." Rock glared at Dutch, clearly unamused.

"So, who's the kid?" Dutch insisted.

Rock waved Revy off and she brought the boy into the other room.

Rock let out a deep breath. "Long story, but we might have found another Revy."

Dutch frowned slightly, then inserted a cigarette into his mouth and lit it with a lighter. As he took a drag, he sighed.

"Well shit, looks like we've got another potential clusterfuck on our hands." Dutch groaned.

Rock, doing his best impression of his boss, replied "Amen, Hallelujah and Peanut Butter."

"Cute", Dutch grunted.

In Revy's room, Two Hands lay across the bed in her usual sleeping outfit, a tank top and panties, while gently caressing the young boy. The moment kept flashing through her head. She took away all he had. But she was defending herself, wasn't she? She shook the thoughts away and stared at the boy in her arms. He was awake, but he was simply embracing her hug like she was his... her thinking was disturbed when he spoke.

"Do you have any parents, Revy?" he asked.

She took a deep breath and answered "No, no I don't." He breathed deeply and buried his face into her chest and said "Well that makes two of us."

"What's your name, by the way?" Revy was curious to hear what his name was.

"Jack", he told her, "and I'm from New York."

Her heart dropped. 'Just like me' she thought.

"I have a question, Revy..." Jack began to blush a bit.

"What is it?" she replied. He started to tear up.

"W-w-will... will you be my mom?"

Revy froze. Her first thought was 'I just killed this kid's only family and he wants me to be his mother?' Then it dawned on her. She could give him something she never really had. She wasn't the motherly type, but this kid was just like her. He needed her, and just maybe... she needed him.

"Yes, Jack... of course I will." she told him. He began crying tears of joy and said "Th-th-thank y-you, Mommy!!!"

[The Next Morning...]

Revy yawned as she woke up to the sunlight beaming through her bedroom window. It has been about 7 hours or so since she met who is now her adopted son, Jack. She felt a little body wriggle in her arms and make a cute little sigh. Jack was all snuggled up with his bear Reginald in her sheets.

"Man, the kid sure loves to sleep" she whispered to herself.

Revy maneuvered herself up and over him, tucked him in a bit more and kissed him on the forehead. She stretched and walked out of her room and into the hallway where everyone's rooms were. She smelled coffee, so she made her way to the living space to see Rock flipping through channels on the TV and sipping a cup of homemade brew.

He turned to the tired girl in the archway and said "Good morning, mother."

He let out a little laugh and beckoned Revy over to the couch. She rolled her eyes and plopped down next to him.

"So, letting him sleep in are you?" Rock asked, handing her a cup of coffee.

She grabbed it, took a sip and replied "Why, you gonna try and teach him more unnecessary school bullshit?"

Rock shrugged and sipped his coffee. As Revy stared off into space, Rock asked her the near-unthinkable.

"Revy, do you love me?"
