Best Friends

Things happen: for good or for bad

-Jackson's pov-
Me, Hailey, and Taylor have always been friends, just friends, for 3 years. I thought it would always be that way, but here lately things have been different for me and Hailey. I have been feeling different about her. I'm actually starting to like her. I think I might LOVE her, but I'm scared she doesn't feel the same way, because we have always just been friends. Now I'm scared we're stuck in the friend zone.

I started liking Hailey about 3 months ago. I starting to actually see how she was. I met her when I was about 9, we became besties when we were 12, and now we're 15. Everyone has always made fun of me, and she has always stood up for me. She also has this long black hair with layers that go perfect with her makeup covered freckley cheeks, she just is so beautiful to me. She is perfect in my eyes.

I told her that I wanted to spend quality time with her because for the last three years it has always been me, her, and Taylor, so I just wanted to spend some time with her "just as friends. So I invited her over to watch a movie and eat pizza from Pizza Hut. So she is coming over in two days. I want to confess my feelings, but I'm scared. I'm going to humiliate myself trying to confess my love. It's hopeless to try, so I don't think I will. I know she doesn't feel the same way. I will always be in the friend zone.

-Hailey's pov-
I'm so ready to go to Jackson's. I never expected him to actually want to spend time with me. We have always hung out with Taylor, just the three of us every Friday for the last three years. Then suddenly he wants to chill, just me and him.
"Hey Taylor, can I talk to you about something, but you can't tell Jackson." I said through my iPhone's speaker. I had to say it to her voice mail because she didn't answer.
-2 mins later-

I heard the song "Something's Gotta Give" by All Time Low ringing on my phone. That was Taylor's ringtone, she was calling me back.
"Hey, I got your message. Of course you can talk to me about him, no one will know. Well, except for..." She said as soon as I answered.

"Who?!" I yelled back.

"Chill, the government is who will hear. Haha they can hack our phones and listen to our conversation without us knowing. Hi government!!" She giggled.

"Oh, yeah I forgot. Stupid me! Hey, hey government!" I said even though I knew they wouldn't reply.
"Oh and what I wanted to say about Jackson was, have you noticed he's been acting a little more strange that usual? He's always acting nervous and shakey." I asked.

"Yeah I have totally noticed. He only does that when you come around though." She said with a serious tone in her voice. Normally she sounds goofy on the phone because she is always laughing, but she actually sounds serious.

"Really?" I questioned.

"Yeah like when you were talking to Kloe and him the other day I could see his hands shaking, but when you walked over to me, he stopped. When you walked back over there he started again, then got all nervous when he was talking." She replied back. "You know what I'm personally starting to think?"

"What?" I squeaked back.

"I think he has a crush on you?" She squiled in her regular high pitched voice.

"No......freaking......way????!!!!!!" I said freezing after every word. "You have got to be kidding me??!!" I questioned reassuring what she said.

"Hey he may not, he may just be hiding something from you, you never know. But I can say one thing you always have to remember: Some things happen for good, others happen for bad, but no matter what everything happens for a reason, and sometimes you may think it's bad, but it could just be a blessing in disguise." She said.

"Wow a little inspirational. Oh and I have to go, me and Jackson are watching a movie tonight and eating pizza at his place, just me and him.. Maybe I'll learn something." I recalled what she had said earlier.

"Okay, bye have fun!!" She squieked.

"Bye, boo!!"

-2 mins later in Taylor's driveway-
(A/N this is hailey texting Jackson)

Me: Hey! Are you ready for me to come?
Jackson: Yeah of course I'm always ready for my BFF!
Me: Okay! Be there in about 10
Jackson: hours? Minutes? Seconds?
Jackson: jk I know which one you meant! But you need to be more specific!
Me: then which one do I mean?
Jackson: secs duh ur in my driveway!
Me: umm.... Jackson..... That's not me.... I meant 10 minutes but make that about 3 minutes I'll be there ASAP!!

Hey guys!!! Can ya'll do me a favor and recommend this crappy book to people you know so I can have more reads??? Sorry for the cliff hanger!! 😅 I thought this book was going to be bad, but I think it's actually doing okay! And yes my name is Hailey just like one of the main characters and yes Jackson Pharr is real, but we do not like each other!!!! 👿 that never will that happen!! He is an amazing friend tho!! And also nothing in this book is true, besides Jackson is weird, people make fun of him, and I stick up for him. I am not pretty like this character, and my hair isn't black so yeah she's not me!! I just couldn't think of a name!! 😜😜
