Noelle:
traveler! I'm so glad you were able to make it!

Traveler:
"Hello again noelle"

Paimon:
noelle,it's been a while!

Noelle:
heh glad to see you're both doing well

Paimon:
so why did you ask us to come here? It's been a while since we've went to liyue together

Noelle:
oh right,I probably should explain what's going on

The both of you are shocked by what Noelle says,and it's a bit hard to believe.when she's finished you couldn't help but look with confusion

Paimon:
so wait,you're telling us that zhon- I-i mean ningguang is organizing an event to look for the next geo archon!? Paimon can't believe it!

Traveler:
"Why would they do this now?"

Noelle:
trust me I was confused as you are.the qixing had written a letter for you and one of the knights of favonius to come help

Traveler:
"Wait,aren't you still a knight in training?"

Paimon:
yeah,why would jean let you come?

Noelle:
it took a lot of convincing,but when she heard that I had traveled with you to liyue before grand master jean finally let me come with you

After a bit you calm down and follow Noelle to liyue harbor.the streets are filled with people gossiping,and soon enough word spread around that the legendary traveler had arrived

Ningguang:
ah traveler,I've heard that you arrived

Paimon:
hi ningguang! So is this really to see the next geo archon?

Ningguang:
hm,I understand why your little companion is so curious.ever since Rex lapis' death the role of archon hasn't been brought up

Noelle:
it's an honor to meet you ms. Ningguang

Traveler:
"It has been a while,why look for the geo archon now?"

Ningguang:
well let's just say that I've gotten some...curious information from someone who knows liyue's history better then anyone

It wasn't long before you realized who she was talking about.it didn't help that Zhongli was very bad at hiding,now that you think about it he's been visible since you've arrived

Noelle:
so what do you need us to do ms.?

Ningguang:
no need to be so formal,you can help the others with those boxes

Noelle:
ah right,again thank you for the opportunity!

Paimon:
this is a bit crazy to believe,wouldn't liyue be better off not knowing it's god?

Traveler:
"Unless that's his plan.."

Paimon:
hm,what is it traveler?

Ningguang:
it's seems you two have your own priorities regarding this event.I can tell what you're after,but I won't stop you

As the two geo holders walk away you're attention slides over to a certain person.he and ningguang must of made some sort of arrangement

Traveler:
"How long are you going to stand there?"

Zhongli:
ah traveler,i haven't seen you in liyue for a while-

Traveler :
"Why do you want to give up your power?"

Paimon:
w-woah woah aren't you being a little too pushy?

Zhongli:
no no,the traveler has a right to know why I'm doing this.it's only fair that the hero of liyue knows about the archon war...

Long ago in the archon war many gods battled to claim thrones,to receive a blessing from celestia themselves would be conformation that you were truly the most powerful god.
I'm sure you know the stories by now,a powerful god of wind no one dared touch,or two sisters who sacrificed themselves for their land.in the end seven were chosen to be the reigning archons and had been given a gnosis by the heavens.now very few of them have lived long enough in this land to tell the tale

Paimon:
hate to interrupt the story,but paimon still doesn't understand.why find a new god?

Traveler
"(He has said become a part of liyue...could this mean?)"

Zhongli:
it seems the traveler has figured it out,while I am one of the very few left,in liyue's new era I don't feel it is right to keep this status of god

Paimon:
so this whole competition is to show that liyue has changed? How did you suddenly come up with his idea,paimon would've had to think really hard to do this

Zhongli:
well it's simple,it wasn't my idea

Paimon:

Traveler:
"Then who's was it?"

Zhongli:
the tsaritsa is gathering the gnosis,yes? None of us know what she is plotting but if we could stop her and the fatui before anything bad happens...

Traveler:
"...then you help without putting the people at risk"

Zhongli:
precisely.being one of the original seven doesn't mean that I'm more then any other god,the friend who gave me this idea thinks the same.though he told me through plenty of wine first

Noelle:
traveler,are you ready?

Paimon:
oh,we'll be with you in a bit Noelle!

Noelle:
alright just come over when your ready
