Several centuries ago, there lived two children very content with their lives. One was a princess and the other a friend with a commoner role. They loved every single minute being in each other's presence. They talked for hours, played for hours and did almost everything together. Until one fateful day... When Sakura and Kallen were playing in the castle garden.
"Saku-chan~ I made this for you~! I hope you like it!" Kallen beamed handing Sakura a flower crown with purple and blue flowers.
"Woww, so pretty... Thank you, Kallen-chan, I love it!" Sakura smiled as Kallen placed the flower crown on her head.
Kallen laughed as she handed Sakura a mirror. Sakura's face was full of adoration, "It looks so pretty on me, don't you think Kallen-chan? Can you teach me how to make one so I can make one for you?"
Kallen inched closer to Sakura and pinched her cheeks and said, "Not only do you look pretty, but you're beautiful! And of course I'll teach you how to make one~! So first, you grab th-"
Kallen's speech was cut off by a group of guards approaching the two children. "I'm deeply sorry, but the two of you must say your goodbyes right now. You have important duties to fulfil. Sakura, it is time for you to learn how to rule your kingdom. Kallen, you will learn how to serve her highness, Sakura."
Hearing the guard's words, their faces contorted into expressions full of fear and started gripped onto each other for security. Seeing the two children's shock, the guard said, "I understand that it is a lot to take in but things have to be done. I'll give you a minute to say goodbyes."
"W-what... Don't take Kallen-chan away from me! Kallen... Don't leave me..." Sakura sobbed as she gripped onto Kallen even more.
Kallen held her and stroked her hair, "It's ok, Saku-chan. We will meet again. The mister said that my role is to protect you. So we will see each other again. I'm sure you'll be a great and pretty princess!" Kallen smiled.
"But... I want to be a princess with you. I don't want to be separated from you." Sakura cried.
"Don't worry, Sakura. Once I learn all that I have to to serve you, I won't leave you ever again. I'll make this promise, I will protect you so please, show me your beautiful smile and I will protect that too. When hardships come your way, I will serve and protect you for eternity." Kallen said as she smiled softly.
Sakura wiped away her tears and used all her effort to show the best smile she could, "It's a promise! I will be a great princess for you!"
"Okay, it's time." The guards started pulling Sakura on one side and Kallen on the other.
"We will meet again!" The two said in unison as they were dragged away into their separate ways.
