Lexi was in the labour word,she pushed as heard as she can she didn't scream or short but she groaned deeply sometimes or would smile ant Jayden who was crying by her side, "puch lexi,you can do it"the doctor said,she tightened her grip on Jayden's hand and pushed very heard "can't you get it out of her, does she have to be in this much pain"Jayden finally spoke up "it's only natural sir"the doctor smiled,lexi punched one last time and fell back on the bed,then a baby's cry filled the room,she let out a sigh of relief she was painting, then the doctor took a small scissors, Jayden's looked at the doctor and nurses with confusion in his eyes then lexi held his hand tight "it's to cut the umbilical cord"the doctor to him then the doctor cut the cord and Jayden closed his eyes

"Moonlight"lexi called "yes mama"she walked to Lexi and raised her arms signaling lexi to pick her up, lexi picked moonlight with one arm and caressed her cheek "how are you my love"she asked "mama, did u see the mermaid princess"she asked "mermaid princess"lexi asked confused until she saw jane wearing a beautiful fitted green scaly gown and she said curled her purple hair she added fake scales to her arms and legs she really looked like a mermaid "ohh you must be the mermaid princess"she said "yes,but it's our secret okay"she told moonlight, moonlight nodded,then they sat on the sofa moonlight was playing with Lexi's hair, trying to beard her hair, "it's so nice of you to play the mermaid for her"lexi said "thank you"she smiled, "no it's all fun, playing mermaid princess with her"jane smiled at moonlight "besides she calm, very calm for her age, infact too calm"she said looking at moonlight "is it normal"lexi asked jane
It has been a year since lexi gave birth to moonlight, moonlight was a gentle soul she was very calm,never looked for trouble always listened to her mom and sat in one place reading a novel, it shocked lexi at first when she saw moonlight reading a novel, that a ten year old couldn't read,but jane told her she could do all this because she had there blood and she wasn't human, that made more sense.
"It's normal I guess,are u gentle and calm"she said "ohh no am not calm at all"she smiled "but Jayden is,he hardly speaks to people he doesn't know all was observing and once he speaks he leaves others speechless"she smiled before she continued "but he is also a chatter box when he's alone with me" they laughed then she felt Jayden's presence in the room "moonlight Daddy's home"he said opening his arms "papa"she ran towards Jayden,Jayden bent down then moonlight ran into his arms he held her tightly and kissed her head "little moonlight how are u"he picked her up and walked towards jane and hugged her,the sat besides lexi and kissed her on the lips "good afternoon my love"he greeted she smiled and pecked his cheek "papa,look it's the mermaid princess,but u have to keep her a secret so the bad guys won't take her"she whispered in Jayden's ear "I won't tell anyone"he said the moonlight went back to trying to beard Lexi's hair "so mermaid princess would u like to go to the ocean with us"he chuckled "it's my home after all"they all went to the river and moonlight started playing while the rest and and watched her chase and ran from the water & smiled.
