The magical dimension is a net of stories. Stories that bring beings together and separate them again. Stories which have to be rewritten and which repeat themselves. Stories about friendship and love that have been destroyed or are yet to begin. Stories about families that have been torn apart or have come together. Stories about prophecies and chance encounters.

This is a story about six young women.

Two of them just don't know it yet.

"Hello, my name is Alyson. No, no. I can't say it like that. Hello, I'm Alyson. Or is it, my name is?"

Said fairy stood nervously in front of her mirror. In less than 24 hours she would be standing in front of Countess Almut - or the devilish mother of her best friend and boyfriend. The Countess was strict and hated people without noble titles. Especially if they date their children.

Alyson's mother, Synthia, snuck up behind her and then lunged at her daughter. "Wah, I'm the evil countess and I'll eat you in a moment."

"Mum!" Alyson yelled, startled. "I'm nervous, okay?! I mean, I'm going to travel to Solaria with Trisha and Mason for the whole holiday. I'm going to show myself at a ball with them. A real princess ball! And before that I have to speak to Countess Almut."

Synthia laughed and hugged her. "Think of the things you mastered on Polaris. Countess Almut and the Solarian noble houses can't be much worse either."

Alyson returned the hug. "Hopefully."

"Okay, sleepwear, underwear, sweaters, pants, shirts-"

"What do you need sweaters for?" asked Florenzia. "You are aware that Magix summers are hotter than Linpheas?"

"I want to be prepared for anything," protested Michella.

"We are there for two weeks," said Florenzia. "And you're taking half your wardrobe with you. "Besides, we're not there for fun, but for an internship with the Magic Council, in case you've forgotten. We'll get a uniform anyway."

"I'm nervous, okay," Michella murmured. "Two weeks working at the Magic Council. I can see my parents every day. And who knows, I might be of some help."

"I think we're more sorting files and making coffee," murmured Florenzia, not telling Michella that it wasn't an internship for the moonflower fairy, nor was she working for the magical council for the first time. But it made things easier when Michella thought it was just an internship for Florenzia.

"It's not going to be that bad," Michella murmured, picking up a stack of sweaters. "So those back in the closet?"

Downstairs the doorbell rang and Rose opened it. "Hello Mela, hello Killian."

Michella's mother looked at her colleague's youngest daughter. "You've grown up, Rosetta. You're fifteen now, aren't you?"

"No, but soon," said the little black-haired, grinning.

Rose's mother came out of her small study. "Hello, you two. I'm sure the girls will be downstairs in a bit. Rose, please let Florenzia and Michella know."

Rose nodded and ran up the stairs.

"How is my husband?" Gabriele asked immediately when her daughter was out of earshot.

Killian sighed, "He's been searching all leads on the Mistress of Darkness, but so far to no avail. Since she and her servants have been quiet lately, we assume she's freed from the curse. But he sent a message that he's coming back to Magix soon. Then he'll be able to get in touch with you again."
