"Hey! Don't listen to the song. She wants to seduce you."
Agnes was slightly startled when her former friend Rey jumped in front of her and called out her recently discovered truth.
Margret got up angrily: "What's that, Rey? What are you doing here?"
"I saw through you guys," Rey growled. "You use magic to be popular."
"Magic?" Agnes asked as naively as possible. Margret instead gave a false laugh and said: "Of course. You just begrudge us our popularity."
"Yes, I do," Rey hissed, only then realizing how unfortunate it was for her to admit this in front of everyone, so she quickly added, "You're cursing the other students."
"Now stop it," shouted Kazuki, who was standing next to Margret. "Just because you spread your lie doesn't make it any truer. You've always tried to present yourself better than others."
Suddenly more students shouted that Rey was wrong and should get out of here.
"I thought so," Michella said. "Nobody here is as unaffected as we are. Everyone believes them immediately."
"We should all know that they have the power to do this," Trisha said. "That's creepy."
"Why don't we help Rey?" Alyson asked, but Glam immediately shook his head. "We would have to heal all the students. Before that, the whole thing is of no use to us. With a spell like that, we'd need a lot of pixie dust or healing magic."
"And today, of all days, Mum is in Magix," Florenzia murmured.
"Agnes eyes are glowing", Trisha said suddenly and now the others saw it too. The witch's eyes glowed blue. What the Moonix Girls didn't see: Rey's eyes glow up as well. The latter formed a spell and cast it at Agnes, who was able to shield herself from it quickly enough. For sure she had tricked Rey into attacking her. "You are crazy!" Kazuki yelled. Rey cast another spell.
Bubble Gum suddenly grabbed her arm. "Please stop."
Since the two now had everyone's attention, Margret whispered to Agnes. "Release the spell and then release Rey from the trance. We don't want her to ruin the party too much."
"Release her?" Agnes asked. "Wouldn't it be super cool for us to defeat them and chase them out of the house?"
"Didn't you notice that a small group of fairies saw through us?"
Rey released the spell and Bubble Gum wasn't able to protect herself as quickly as Agnes had before. Margret jumped over the piano and pushed the witch to the ground. Agnes gritted her teeth and broke the trance. Fearing that the spell that had made her so popular had failed her, she couldn't sow any more doubts. Rey tried to struggle against Margret's tight grip and kept screaming that she knew she had been cursed. "Yes yes yes, of course," Margret said, "but you just attacked Bubble Gum. Not us. Doesn't seem believable."
The Moonix Girls looked after the two unobtrusively. Then Florenzia said: "That was clear. And just as Margret looked at us for a moment, she knows that we've noticed something."
Michella nodded. "We should be careful."
"And maybe go?" Trisha asked.
"Then we confirm your assumption," Alyson said and Michella nodded. "I think so too."
"You're definitely right," Florenzia said. "That's creepy."
The party went on, but the Moonix Girls and their friends didn't feel like partying anymore.
"I'm glad they just want to be popular," Trisha said at one point. "Imagine if these were our opponents. Then rather Hagazusa and Bianca."
"Don't conjure anything, sis," Mason said. Michella commented, "Well, at least Amy doesn't trust them to ever work for the Mistress of Darkness either."
