In the dark palace, Magna paced back and forth in the throne room. Argon stood with his back to the window and watched his foster daughter. "How dare he?!" she suddenly screamed. Celeste had just appeared in the throne room and stood there in surprise. "Is there trouble in the wondrous fairyland?"

"She was on Earth," Argon replied. "Where she hid her husband and children."

Magna turned around, furious. "That bastard of my husband took our children back to the Magical Dimension and hid them from me because he can't watch me throw my life away anymore. Funny, he knows my past. He shouldn't be surprised which side I choose. And then he told the Magic Council agents when I was showing up. Of all people, the parents of this time fairy were there. Of course they wanted to know where they could find you, mistress."

Celeste sat down on her throne with interest. "How Kind of him. How did you manage to escape?"

Magna massaged her temples. "I called father. He has a bone to pick with this agent anyway."

"Is that so?" asked the dark mistress, looking at her most loyal servant.

Argon nodded. "Agent Mela. Not a fairy with special abilities or transformations, but still strong and perceptive. Let's say she foiled one of your predecessor's plans, Mistress. Back then, she only made it out alive because her angel husband protected her. Today he was less successful at protecting. She's still alive, but this wound has to heal first."

It was Mela's luck that Gabriele was still at the Magic Council when the agent was taken to the infirmary. A huge black opening was visible on her torso and she writhed in pain. The Magic Council healers had never seen such an ancient spell before, only read about it, which is why Killian asked for Gabriele.

She sent a special spell flying over Mela. "A misery spell. I need silver leaves."

A young healer ran off immediately. The other healers looked at Gabriele, who began to cast an incantation. Mela screamed and Killian squeezed her hand. "Everything will be okay, my darling."

"Put something in her mouth that she can bite on," Gabriele instructed the healers. "If she's in so much pain now, it's about to get a lot worse. One of you should better block her magic."

Killian looked at Gabriele with admiration. He had known her for so long; He knew that she was considered one of the best healers in the magical dimension, but he had never seen her like this.

The young healer came back with the leaves.

Gabriele used magic to turn them into powder and then cast another incantation. Mela screamed into the fabric that had been pressed into her mouth and tried to defend herself with all her power. Finally the black hole slowly retreated. But it still took a while for Gabriele to close it completely. She collapsed into a chair and wiped the beads of sweat from her forehead. "Don't move for the next few days, Mela. The magic is still there and can open you up again and again."

Mela just whimpered and Gabriele was sorry to see her like that. Taking care of patients was one thing, but healing someone she knew and liked was always harder.

"Well, well, what a surprise," said Celeste, who had a monitoring charm floating in front of her. She narrowed her eyes.

"My old magic," Argon growled. "Pushed back! Just like that. That healer was able to defeat him so quickly."

"Fiora's eldest daughter," Magna said. "Maybe I'm wrong, but isn't she considered one of the best healers in the magical dimension?"

She looked at Celeste. She was still looking at the fairy. She held out her hand to her: "Someday I will make her suffer again the way I intended before her husband's curse. When I regain full power, I will kill this entire family."
