Chapter 1

~ Chapter 1 ~

I grabbed my school bag and threw it over my shoulder; I quickly grabbed an apple and ran out the front door slamming it behind me. I had to run to the bus stop. I was meeting up with my best friend Calum Hood. I was already late and I needed to hurry up.

Soon enough I was out of breath but I finally reached the bus stop. “Hey Cal.” I greeted giving him a smile as I panted. (A/N: Let’s not be pervs about this.)

“Hey Sophie, little bit late I see” Calum teased giving me a wink.

“Shut up” I said slapping his arm playfully and letting out a small giggle.

“Rude. You shouldn’t slap your best friends Soph.” He laughed as he rubbed his arm where I had hit him.

“Not funny” I said as I laughed along.

“But you’re laughing.” I then automatically stopped and pulled a poker face. “Am not” I said playfully giving him a wink.

“What-ever you say babe.” He said looking down at his black school shoes.

“What-ever” I mimicked him, smirking.

Before I knew it the bus pulled up and we got on board. We went to our usual seats. We never dared to sit in the back. All the popular’s sat there. Basically if you sat there you’d get publicly humiliated. As we got to out seat I glanced over to where all the popular people were sitting and sure enough I got a grease. I slumped myself on the window side of the seat with a sigh and pulled out my IPod from my school skirt pocket and pushed in the ear buds of the ear phones in to my ears but before I could press play on a song I felt a tap on my shoulder.

I turned my head slightly only to see the one and only smiling Calum hood. “You okay?” he asked sounding worried.

 “Fine” I replied giving him a smile. “Just wanting to listen to music”

Calum’s cheeks turned a light pink before asking “Can I listen too?”

“Sure” I said pulling one ear bud from my right ear and passing it to him. He took it gently and put it in to his ear. He turned to smile at me “Can I choose a song?”

“Go ahead.” I said handing him my IPod.

I watched as his nimble fingers move over the screen, scrolling up and down trying to look for a song. I suddenly looked at him and started. I didn’t know why I was, it just felt right. Calum then looked up at me and asked “what are you staring at?” his cheeks were a deep shade of red. Aw he was blushing. 

“Nothing” I said before looking out the window again. In a matter of seconds I heard Calum sigh and then ‘Fall’ by Justin Bieber immediately filled my ear. I snapped my head towards Calum again, his cheeks were even more redder than before.

I then gave him a questioning look before asking “Why this song?”

“I like it.” He shrugged  

And with that he looked away from me only to be waving at his other three friends.

**AUTHOURS NOTE**

Okay I know this story sucks and I kind of made it a bit of awkward between Cal and Sophie. The rest of the boys will be in the next chapter though. Promise. Also the next would be getting to know Sophie a lot better. I apologise if this story sucks, I'm new to the whole writing thing. I also won;t be updating as much because i'm really busy with school. I also don't know how long the wattpad pages are so if it's short I apologise once again.
