Chapter 2: Some questions coming your way

Brainy got to work once the girl -carried by Kara- transferred into the tower with Lena's transmatter portal. Settled her in one of the medic beds and began scanning her.

"How is she?" Alex and Nia came down to the medic bay as soon as Kara updated them on the status. J'onn stayed in the command room while Kelly checked on Esme.

Seeing the girl Alex quickly moved to assist Brainy, they do not question how Lena managed to get the hospital to release the girl into their custody.

"Physically, there's nothing wrong with her." The coluan said, still looking for any oddity in the scan.

"She did fall out of some kind of portal, maybe her consciousness is trying to fix the damage caused by being thrown out of it." The older Danvers concluded.

Lena shivered. There it is again, the energy pull and this time, the connection is so strong the CEO almost gasps out loud.

A yellow flash and two figures materialize alerting Kara as she quickly moves to attack but stops when a familiar face graces them. A tall, dark hair with the warmest smile accompanied by a shorter woman with the same dark hair and piercing blue eyes.

"Don't kill us, we're friendly." Shouted one of the intruders.

"Ray?" Kara said in confusion. "What are you doing here?"

Grinning with his hand held up in greeting is Ray Palmer. "Hey, gangs. How's it been going?"

Sensing the strong energy again Lena holds Kara's arm. "Who?" Lena began asking but Kara quickly explained.

"This is Ray Palmer, one of the legends I told you about Lena. He's the atom." Turning to face Ray. "But I don't know who the lady is."

"This is Nora, my wife, who's also a witch, specializing in the dark arts."

Kara's face morphed into a sweet happy face. "Aww, you're married." Earned twin expressions like her own from Ray.

Nora rolled her eyes, "Oh my god, there's two of them." She quietly whispered. Which was missed by Kara gushing out about Ray's wedding.

"It was a last-minute thing, so it was just close friends and family," Ray explained in his supper positive voice which amused the other pupils in the room.

A slapped on Ray's arm from Nora, reminded him about the task at hand and he started with his typical 'going to ramble face.'

"Nora and I have been monitoring any fluke in the mystical side of things, we called it, myth-teries," He paused for the dramatic effect, Nora groaned, Kara smiles in excitement, and the other between intrigue or just doesn't care and wanted Ray to get to the point already.

"You know because it's mystery ... involving mythical being?" Nora rolled her eyes and slapped Ray's chest this time with the back of her hand.

"We're not calling them that," Nora said plainly. "We're here because Ray's device and my sense picked up a massive energy and drew us here, to that." She pointed to the person currently lying on the bed.

"She felt wrong."

A quick read of her state. "All scans and tests concluded that she is human, with a trace of a fifth-dimensional energy." Brainy supplied.
