"I know one of them""WHAT?!"
Jisoo suddenly covered her face with her palms and started sobbing.
Jennie quickly hugged her.
"Jisoo"
"J-Jennie... I'm s-scared...he will...he will find us. I'm so...sorry"
"Ssshhh it's okay. Calm down. I'm here. I'm not gonna leave you." Jennie said calmly while rubbing Jisoo's back soothingly.
She was still confused about what did Jisoo just say but she waited for Jisoo to stop crying first.
When Jisoo stopped crying and calm herself down, Jennie pulled away to look at her, she wiped her tears.
Jisoo looks guilty and scared.
"Jennie... I'm so sorry I lied to you"Jennie cupped her cheeks, looking at her worriedly.
"I still don't understand, can you explain to me please"Jisoo nodded and touch Jennie's hand that was still on her cheek.
"I know...I know one of them...Jennie..."
Jennie was just waiting for Jisoo to tell her while caressing her face and giving her a reassuring smile. She can see that Jisoo is scared.
"It's okay...you can tell me Jisoo"
"You... you will get mad at me"
Jennie shook her head and planted a quick soft kiss on Jisoo's forehead.
"I won't so please tell me. I hate seeing you like this."
Jisoo looked straight into Jennie's eyes for a moment before throwing herself to Jennie.
Jennie was caught off guard but she quickly hugged her back and rub her back soothingly.
"I'm scared that you'll hate me after this. I'm scared that he could find us and hurt us especially...you."
"Who is he, Jisoo?" Jennie asked calmly.
Jisoo buried her face in Jennie's neck before answering Jennie's question.
"My brother."
Jennie's eyes widened but she asked again just to make sure that she heard it right.
"Who?"
"My brother..... He's one of them... the one who killed the man"
Jennie felt Jisoo hug her even tighter.
She's afraid that Jennie would let her go.
Now Jennie understood why Jisoo looked so scared and guilty and it makes sense now why Jisoo asked her to stay with her after that night.
"Your brother?" Jennie asked, still hugging her.
"Y-yes. Sorry I didn't tell you that I have a brother."
"What about your parents?"
"I didn't lie about that, they were really gone. I and brother are the one who was left but we were not living together."
Jennie gave a kiss to Jisoo's head before pulling away so she could look at her.
"Jennie... I'm so sorry that I lied to you. You know how scared I am that night and...I really don't know where to go especially knowing that my brother is one of them, I don't know what he can do. He was so kind to me but...I don't know what happened....maybe that was the reason why he didn't want me to work with him before...I never imagined he could do that... I'm scared of him now. It turned out that I really don't know my brother."
Her voice quavered while looking down.Jennie held her chin and made her look at her.
"Jisoo""Please don't be mad at me, please don't throw me away. That's the only lie that I kept from you. I will never do that again please let me stay with you" Jisoo pleaded with teary eyes, trying not to break down in front of Jennie.
Jennie cupped her face and smiled at her. "Hey, I'm not mad, okay?"
"You are not?" Jisoo asked in a small voice.
She looks vulnerable and Jennie just wants to keep her forever and take care of her.
Jennie pressed their foreheads and their hearts started pounding because of how their faces were so close to each other.
"I'm not. I completely understand why you didn't tell me and...I will not let you go. You'll stay with me as long you want, okay?"
Jisoo closed her eyes, she can feel her heart beating faster and she could feel Jennie's breath hitting on her lips.
"Why are you doing all of this?" Jisoo whispered eyes still closed.
and Jisoo didn't expect Jennie's response, her eyes went wide.
Jisoo was caught off guard when she felt a soft pair of lips against her own.
She just froze.
After a few seconds, Jennie pulled back and smiled when she saw Jisoo's flustered face.
"J-Jen..."
"I like you, Jisoo" she confessed looking straight into Jisoo's eyes.
Jisoo's heart skip a beat after hearing Jennie's confession to her. She didn't expect it.
A while ago she was so scared that Jennie might get mad or hate her after telling her that she lied to her but now, the woman that she spend a lot of time with every day and the woman that she was so thankful for because she accepted her and take care of her, the woman that is still looking at her at the moment with so much sincere in her eyes just confess that she likes her.
She doesn't know what to say.
Jisoo was just staring at Jennie.
"Hey, you don't need to say anything about that now. I know it was so sudden but... it's the truth, Jisoo. I just want you to know that I like you...I really like you"
Jisoo blushed even more and tried to hide her face by covering it with her palms.
Jennie giggled before pulling Jisoo's hands from her face.
Jennie just want to kiss her again when she saw Jisoo pouting.
"I don't...I don't know what to say, Jennie. I'm sorry. My mind is so messed up right now... I don't ---"
Jennie smiled and pinched her cheek lightly. "It's okay. I told you, you don't need to say anything right now. I'll wait for you."
Jisoo stared at her for a moment before smiling. "Thank you" she whispered.
"Can I sleep here tonight?" Jennie asked.
"You already asked that earlier and I said yes"
Jennie chuckled. "Oh right, I forgot sorry"
Jisoo giggled before lying on her bed and Jennie followed.
Jennie opened her arms asking Jisoo to move closer to her. Without wasting any time she quickly snuggled into Jennie's arms, placing her head on her chest while wrapping her arm around Jennie's waist before letting out a comfortable sigh.
Jennie kissed her head before holding her tightly.
It made her feel safe every time she was in Jennie's arms.
After a few moments of silence, Jisoo spoke.
"Jennie?"
"Hmm?"
"What are we gonna do about my brother?"
