Jon's POV
-

I desperately needed some liquid courage, so I hurriedly grabbed the bottle of Crown from where the drums were, taking a long few sips from the bottle. It was now or never! I've got to spill out my feelings somehow without making it seem too damn obvious to the crowd, my band, or Priscilla.

The brightest idea came into my head! It's time to go on ahead and sing 'Forever Girl' a bit earlier than intended.. I grabbed ahold of my acoustic guitar and played the opening chords to the love song.

For the second or third time tonight on stage, I looked over to the side where JD and Priscilla were standing at and she was just watching me with all of the admiration in the world. She was even swaying a bit to the song... As much as I really wanted to bring her up on stage, I don't want to make her uncomfortable, make the crowd think the wrong thing, and God forbid if that happens, Stephen will get his panties up in a bunch and I don't want to hear his ass complaining once we all get on the bus later tonight.

But then I decided fuck it; I've got to take this leap of faith- it's now or never, Langston. This woman will never know how you truly and really feel if you don't take this leap of faith! There, some words of encouragement and having some whiskey straight helps out a lot more.

I soon made an announcement into the microphone after finishing my most famous song, "Y'all, I have a special guest that I'm inviting out on stage right now; are y'all ready for it?!"

The crowd was definitely hyped up for the special guest that I was about to pull up on stage. The second I began waving Priscilla over toward me, she smiled softly and made her way onto the stage, right by my side. It was like she was meant to be right next to me the whole entire time..

I put the mic up to her lips so she could introduce herself- and that's exactly what she did, ever so gracefully.

"Hey, Texas! Oh my God, what is life?! My name is Priscilla Block and I'm on stage at Billy Bob's with my good ole pal, Jon Langston! It's such an honor to be out here tonight," Priscilla introduced herself into the microphone.

I grabbed the mic back from her soft hands and announced to the crowd that she'd be singing a song with me tonight. It came as a surprise to literally everyone on stage, in the crowd, and even Jazz himself. Thankfully, we came prepared and had an extra receiver so she could have one and wear it on her back.

JD got her in-ear monitors and receiver ready for Priscilla and Jazz began playing 'Remind Me' by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood. Fuck! He knows exactly what he's doing with choosing that song at random.. Oh well, the show must go on.

"We didn't care if people stared, we'd make-out in a crowd somewhere. Somebody'd tell us to get a room, it's hard to believe that was me and you," I sang Brad's part. "Now we keep sayin' that we're okay, but I don't want to settle for good not great. I miss the way that it felt back then, I want to feel that way again.."

"Been so long bet you'd forget the way I used to kiss your neck.."

"Remind me, remind me!" Priscilla sang in response once it was Carrie's part of the song.

The way that woman was hitting the high notes sent chills down my spine and goosebumps all across my skin. This kind of song and singing it alongside Priscilla is making me a nervous wreck, but damn if she isn't singing her ass off and all she sang was four simple words.
