Today's the day I've been waiting for! I'm hosting on the red carpet at the ACM Awards! This is my first time ever hosting anything so this should be fun to see how this goes!
Oh, and what's even sweeter? I'm nominated for new female artist of the year which is exciting! I'm really hoping Jon will be able to make it so that we can walk the red carpet with each other... That'd be a cute hard launch, right? Or is it too soon? Would he even want that?
Maybe it's just in my head, but I don't know how he'd feel about showcasing our relationship at such a huge public event like the ACM's. Like, we've performed on stage together in Texas a while ago, but this time is different. We'd be showing us off in front of hundreds of photographers.
But, it'd be adorable to have professional pictures taken of us on the red carpet! Gosh, I can only imagine how nice Jon is going to look... Oops, I shouldn't have thought that out loud. However, I'm not lying, that man looks good in just about anything...
I just hope that he'll make it to the Vegas to accompany me. This isn't my first trip on my own obviously, but I've never done anything as crazy being the red carpet host on an award show. I'm just hoping this goes well!
We had started to do my make-up and hair in the hotel room. Of course, we did the signature high ponytail that I'm famous for. I know a lot of people don't tend to care for my high pony, but their opinions about my hair don't matter! It's my hair, I'll do whatever the hell I want with it.
Kara was doing my makeup and then tapped the handle of the eyeshadow brush against her teeth slightly. She had a puzzled look on her face, which obviously had me curious as well.
"Okay, this is about to be crazy, but what if we do blue eyeliner? We have to subtly bring the Block Party blue to this red carpet," She said, sifting through the makeup bags we had brought with us.
"Oh my God, Kara! You are a genius! Let's do it!" I exclaimed, a wide smile appearing across my face.
My phone then went off, notifying that I had a text from none other than my handsome boyfriend himself! He had texted me to inform me that he just got off of the plane and he's officially in Vegas! Oh my God, I am so excited for tonight. I've never walked a red carpet before, so having some arm candy sure is going to make it less stressful, for sure.
While replying to Jon's message, Kara began to do my makeup. Once it came time for my eye makeup, I had shut my phone off and stayed as still as possible.
It didn't take long before she finished off the makeup, and my goodness! It looked perfect. Regardless of how tonight goes with the award ceremony, I definitely think there should be a category for best makeup artist, haha. If there was, Kara would win it in a heartbeat.
She pulled away and then her jaw dropped, "My goodness, you look SO gorgeous. I'm so excited for tonight- I hope you win!"
I laughed off her compliment and then shook my head at her words, "I'm not very confident in winning, but if I have you and Jon by my side, I'm already a winner with you two!"
