Platform nine-and-three-quarters was filled with its typical bustle on the first of September.

A group of students already changed into their robes were chasing a mangy black dog who winked when seeing Draco, Astoria, and Scorpius appear from the barrier and onto the platform.

"How can they be so difficult to find?" Draco grumbled, pushing Scorpius' trolley. "They're the largest group of misfits here."

"Dad," Scorpius said, sounding exasperated. "You're a misfit too."

Draco gasped at the audacity of his own flesh and blood while his wife giggled. Traitors, the lot.

"There they are, darling," Tori drawled, a laugh still in her voice as she pointed ahead.

The smoke cleared long enough for him to make out the Potter's,  Weasley's, and Lupins.

"Merlin, you lot multiply every bloody year," he said as his greeting as the family of three joined them.

Scorpius immediately took off with the other children to chase after Sirius Black. Would the man ever grow up?

"Find us alright?" Granger asked, looking amused, holding her youngest son's hand. Fabian waved in greeting, preferring to not speak.

"How could we not with your hair looking like that," he drawled, ignoring how her eyes narrowed as he winked to Fabian. "Now, where have you hidden my god-daughter, Granger?"

Giggling and failing to be quiet behind her father was Roslind Viper Weasley.

Draco quickly caught her as she tried to run and lifted her in the air, her giggling contagious. "Hello, little dragon. Thank Salazar you didn't inherite the ghastly red hair."

"Draco," Granger scolded, her free hand on her hip.

"He's only joking, Aunt," said Teddy with a grin, burping Isabella over his shoulder.

"Am I?" he said, raising a brow, before being punched in the arm by the witch.

"Mama no hurt Drake," scolded Roslind, now resting on his hip.

Draco grinned, kissing the top of her head. "Never change, Rosie."

Charlie and Granger rolled their eyes.

"Where's my kiss?" asked Potter, raising a brow, giving his wife a break from a fussy Percival.

"The only kiss you're getting from me is on my ar-"

"Draco!" scolded Granger, Ginny, and Astoria.

At least Tonks gave him a high-five.

"Husband, can you call Sirius over?" said Tonks, amused. "Train will be leaving soon."

Remus whistled for Snuffles and the black dog came barreling through, soon followed by the rest of their crew like a Pied Piper.

Albus Theodore, James Sirius, and Lily Luna Potter lined up in front of their parents to say good bye.

Minerva Horntail ran over to Granger to say good bye to her parents and siblings.

Thank Merlin Granger convinced Charlie to keep the dragon names as the middle name.

Rose started to squirm as Scorpius approached, excited to see him. Draco set her down but held onto her hand. She was known for taking off faster than a Remastered Firebolt 9000.

"Scoop!"

"Scorp," muttered Scorpius, his ears turning pink as the adults snorted.

"Where's Uncle Fred and George?" asked James, scanning the platform.

"Uncle George and Aunt Angelina had to watch their new shop in Paris while Uncle Fred is at the hospital with his friend Katie Bell after a quidditch incident," said Ginny, removing dirt from his cheek despite his protest.

"Why the two don't just snog and get married is beyond me," snorted Sirius, now back as a wizard.

"What about you?" asked Victoire with a smirk. "Thinking about finally settling down?"

Sirius laughed. "Never."

"Uncle Ron?" inquired Al, also looking around.

Their band of misfits on the platform was smaller than previous years to say goodbye to the children, but Draco was glad for it unlike Potter's children.

"He's with Aunt Susan at St. Mungos," Potter answered patiently, checking his watch. "I'd imagine she's about to burst at any moment."

"Lovely, Harry," said Ginny, rolling her eyes at her husband's sheepish grin.

"Just like your Aunt, Harry?" Teddy asked before he and Potter burst into childish giggles.

Granger shook her head, attempting to tame her eldest's bushy hair. "Don't forget to write."

"I know, Mum," said Minerva, batting away her mother's hands with a sigh. "It's a lost cause."

"Yes," said Charlie seriously, ignoring his wife's look of warning. "But the right wizard... or witch won't care about that."

Minerva suddenly hugged her father tight, something unspoken passing between them as Granger seemed to be holding back tears from the exchange.

"The sight of your hair causes me to cry too," he whispered to Granger, earning a painful jab to his ribs.

The train whistle signaled to all it was nearly time as doors started to slam shut and families gave their children last-minute reminders.

Scorpius, Lily, Al, James, and Minerva quickly boarded the Hogwarts Express, the five of them cramming into a window of a compartment to wave good bye.

Granger looped her arm with his once the train rounded the corner and was out of sight. "Still able to watch Rosie while we go visit Ron and Susan?"

Draco gasped in mocked horror, holding Roslind tightly to him. "Don't you dare try to take my dragon!"

Granger merely shook her head with a smile, giving Rosie a kiss.

"No sweets," she said sternly, returning to Charlie's side.

"Of course," he said, nodding seriously, ignoring the scoff of nearly everyone.

Families began to line up at the barrier to retrieve their Muggle automobiles while others disapparated. He said his goodbyes to the Potter's and Weasley's before lifting Rosie to his shoulders.

She laughed in delight as he declared, "First stop... Fortescue's Ice-Cream!"

"I heard that!" Granger shouted before she, Charlie, and Fabian disapparated.

"Come along children," called Tori airly, walking ahead of him with Teddy, Victoire, and Izzy.

Draco glanced up at his god-daughter before he grinned at his gorgeous wife.

It wasn't so bad being a misfit.
