She ambled leisurely down the hallway earning herself wide eyed glances due to the prominent spots and dots of red splayed across her shirt , both of which she dared not pay any mind to.
Dabbing her swollen left cheek all the way up to her puffy eyelid with the icepack she had been forced to take by the school's nurse , she finally became conscious of how horrid and deplorable she probably looked at that moment. Nightmare inducing , at best.
Taking a glance down her frame , she noticed how her collar was up , tie loosened , buttons somehow in the incorrect order , shirt half tucked with socks that had once white but now a dismal melanized shade of both blood and dirt and better yet , she was lacking shoes.
Blatantly put , she was a total displeasing and eye revoking , raggedy mess.
She looked up once she got outside the building , immediately noticing the car which so happened to be her ride back home. Parked in the shade , its body sparkled under the few rays of sun that gleamed through the tree canvas.
The window to the driver's seat was rolled down and the man behind the wheel looked as mysterious as ever. Staring out in the distance, with all his features as stoic as could be. The black suit he was clad in didn't even make any attempt at helping lighten up the mood at all. Aurora continued her gait , undeterred , having been used to the man's almost robotic demeanor.
As she placed a hand on the door handle , she realized how much the sky had taken on a dark gray tinge. A far cry from the sunny and warm morning the day had began as. She couldn't help the sense of foreboding that drenched her entire being as she thought over all the worst case scenarios that would play out the moment she arrived home.
Hopping into the back seat of the vehicle , a Mercedes MayBach S680 , she paid no mind to the driver , as always , and less than a second later the vehicle backed out of the parking lot and sped away towards what Aurora could only discern as certain doom.
Upon arrival , she literally jumped out of the car. Speed walked between luxury vehicles all parked out on the paved driveway before hurrying up the perron staircase to a moated mansion. Jumping over at least two steps as she did so , she finally made her way into the ornate foyer. Some of the maids who were going about their daily bread gasped and threw her perturbed glanced , completely bewildered by her haste. Mrs Dupont doesn't like people who run around the house , they seemed to warn , but , she paid them no mind and continued to run upstairs , destination in mind being her room.
Only to be cut short by the sudden appearance of the woman she was trying so hard to evade , the one she dreaded most , standing right by her door.
The woman , dressed in a white pantsuit , leaned back against the mahogany door. The same one that Aurora wanted to be locked in behind and away from all the miseries of this world.
Long blonde hair was tied at the back of the woman's head as she examined her cherry red acrylic nails. Aurora wondered if the woman had been clawing away on some carcass before making her way upstairs. Highly likely.
The sound of a silver-strapped stilleto tapping away against the porcelain floor and echoing down the entire floor came to a sudden halt the moment Mrs Dupont caught sight of Aurora and her repulsive state.
The woman's artificially blue eyes widened before her face contorted into a heinous and hellbound scowl. Blood red lips twisting in a way that made Aurora's guts churn.
Before Aurora could even part her lips to make up the slightest excuse over what had happened , she felt a savage sting soaring across her face as a slap rang clear across the entire wing of the house.
Instinctively , she found her hand on her right cheek , despite not feeling as much pain as the woman had possibly anticipated.
Aurora only faked a wince to give the witch of a woman standing before her , and with her hand still raised , the satisfaction and gratification she probably expected from the action.
