She harshly threw herself onto the stool earning curious glances from everyone at the bar.

" Woah there princess. What can I get you?" the bartender inquired.

" A job." she answered deadpan.

" Uhm , how about a drink?"

" Apparently I'm too young to have that too." she stated while rolling her eyes before resting her elbows on the mahogany counter.

" Well , here's something non- alcoholic. Take this to calm your little teenage nerves. It's on the house." he said while sliding a sealed bottle of cider over to her.

She looked up to see the person calling out her little teenage nerves.

She was welcomed by emerald green eyes belonging to a good-looking and mesmeric blonde.

" Wow." she breathed the word out realising just how much she was probably blushing.

" What?" he questioned.

" Nothing. I just didn't think that bars actually gave away free drinks. Won't your boss fire you?" she asked trying to shift her focus from her burning cheeks while accepting the apple cider.

" Don't worry. I got you covered." he smirked before winking at her.

" I'm Christian by the way." he added.

" Aurora." she replied earning a smile.

She looked out the window realising just how dark it was quickly becoming and looking at the time , it was just an hour and a half before her curfew.

" I have to get going. It was nice meeting you." she said as she jumped off the bar stool , not forgetting to grab her cider.

" Wait! Can I get your number?"

" Uh , sure." she replied with a smile before they both exchanged digits.

" See you around , or whenever you have some anger to vent out." Christian said earning a chuckle and a wave from Aurora.

" Thanks for the cider." she said and he smiled back charmingly.

She sighed once she exited the bar.

Her deadline was more or less up and she was pretty hopeless at this point.

Finishing up her cider , she tossed the empty bottle into a nearby bin before placing her hands into the pockets of her hoodie to shield them from the rising cold breeze of the evening.

She was welcomed by a crunching sound of a piece of paper which she instantly pulled out.

It was the one she'd gotten on her third day of scouring for jobs by that secretary.

It was a poster advertising a vacant job as a waitress and according to the details on the paper , the spots were limited.

It had probably been a week ever since the posters had been first issued and the spots had to have been filled already.

But it was worth a try and this was her last hope.

" Moonshine , 5-star Bar and Hangout."

She read through the location , shrugging once she realized that it was just close by.

Probably close enough to just be a 10 minute taxi drive away. If she had enough money to pay for the ride that is.

Eyes wide open and arms limp at her sides , she couldn't believe the sight before her eyes.

No wonder it was said to be 5-star....
