Christie stumbled into her room and got into bed hoping to get at least an hour of sleep before she would have to get up for her classes, she pulled her blanket over herself as she snuggled into her bed closing her eyes as her brain replayed the way Cedric comforted her as he pointed out the constellations in the sky and talked about himself. She couldn't help but feel completely at ease with him around even though she had just met him there was something comforting about him, but she knew that whatever happened today with him was probably just a one time occurrence, so with thoughts of the brown eyed boy she fell into a dreamless sleep for an hour, before she got up to cho and Marietta's attempts at whispering

"I hate her so much , she's such a bitch , she's so annoying with the way she acts like her life is horrible , when it really isn't " cho said to the other girl

" I know right , by the way did you know who she sat with yesterday –" 

"oh hey christie, slept well ? " Cho asked cutting off the other girl by slightly elbowing her in the stomach 

"oh yeah , I slept fine , not to be rude but I couldn't help but hear your conversation who were you guys talking about ?" the blue eyed girl replied rubbing her eyes 

" we were just talking about pansy parkinson from slytherin, she's such a bitch " cho replied swiftly

"uh right anyways I should probably get ready and go " she said uncomfortable with the fact that they were gossiping about a junior

As she got out of bed and put on her uniform she could hear both of them gossiping about chos ex friends sister who met someone at a club and the guy kissed her and apparently the guy was someone marrietta hooked up with ages ago , as christie brushed her hair cho called out to her 

" all the outfits were terrible, did you see what they wearing at the party yesterday" 

"oh uh no I didn't , bye " she called out rushing out the door before they said anything else 

She walked into the great hall plopping her bag next to jake as she sat down 

" hey blondie" jake said as he passed her the coffee he made for her 

"you're a saviour jakey what would I do without you " she said taking a sip of her coffee 

"why do you always have to come so late , I always have to grab coffee for you before it gets finished , this is getting kind of old " he grumbled playfully

"oh c'mon jakey we'll never go out of style " she said ruffling his hair as she examined her schedule 

"Whats your first class ?" jake asked as a hue of pink coated his cheeks

"I have defense against the dark arts first and then Muggle studies " she said not noticing Jake's pink cheeks and his slightly out of breath voice as her hand brushed against his 

"I still have no idea how you convinced your parents to let you take Muggle studies " he asked quickly jerking his hand back 

"its not really a matter of convincing , they wanted me to take as many subjects as possible , and muggle studies is a subject is it not " 

" yeah that's true , hey what do you think about the new DADA professor " 

" I just hope he's better than lockhart , don't you " she said looking at him as she drained the last of her coffee and stood up 

"well I should get going now , see you later?" she asked him as he nodded as confirmation and she headed to her classroom as people started filling in , a teacher with tattered robes entered
