I looked back at Hiccup who still had a hold of my hand. He noticed and swiftly took his hand out of mine and gave me a nervous smile.

"Now, how about we say we have a proper introduction shall we?" He gestures to the rest of his group.

"That. . That would be nice. ." I whispered.

Hiccup and his friends took me to what they called the edge. It was thier base, home, and apparently where they 'trained' dragons.

I still don't trust them all that much but. .  Something about them was telling me I could. I knew for a fact Midnight didn't trust them one bit because whenever we would go anywhere she would be right by my side keeping a close eyes on all of them.

"And over hear is where our guys are." Hiccup finished explaining and came to a stop.

I nodded in response.

The blonde girl who I learned her name is Astrid leaned into whispered something you hiccup.

"Hiccup, or we really sure we should trust her? I mean she did spy on us and then she helped us?" I could faintly hear the whispers.

Hiccup let out a sigh and walked towards me.
Immediately Midnight stepped Infront of me not letting him get any closer. This caused Toothless Hiccups night furry to come out of no where and step Infront of hiccup in a Protective matter.

I was. . Amazing by the beast. Unlike Midnight toothless was all black just like the night sky, and had green eyes just like hiccup.

I stepped out from behind Midnight and walked forward to the remarkable beast. At first toothless snarled at me but, once I reached him and scratched him behind the ear he flopped down in delight.

"Your remarkable. . " I whispered as I continued to give the Night furry belly scratches.

Then I felt the warm breath of my dragon on the back of my neck. I turned around to meet Midnight looking very upset.

"Oh don't be jealous you big angry dragon." I mocked the dragon.

As I was looking at Midnight I saw Hiccup walk towards her.

Oh. . That's a bad idea. .

Hiccup tried to rest his hand on Midnights about but. . Ended up with Midnight almost biting his hand off. .

"Woah! Easy girl!" I yelled as I got up off the ground with toothless and ran Infront of Midnight.

I put both of my hands Infront of her so she wouldn't get passed me to Hiccup.

"Heh. . Sorry I just get a little excited sometimes. . I just haven't seen another Night Furry before!" Hiccup said excitedly from behind me.

"She's actually a Night Light and I know right?!" I jumped excitedly until I realized my outburst.

"Sorry. . I just got a little excited." I apologized.

A larger man by the name Fishlegs I believe pushed through the rest of the group.

"Don't apologize! The dragon you have is remarkable!" He yelled frantically.

Midnight snarled at him making sure he wouldn't get any closer to me.

The man put his hands up in defence and let out a scared sound.

"Anyway. . . I guess we should be going now." I said as I rested my hand on Midnight.

"What your going?" Fishlegs questioned.

"Yea stay with us become a dragon rider. We could use more help with the dragon hunters." Hiccup explained.

This peaked my interest.

"Dragon hunters?" I questioned.

"Thier some people that's been trapping, hurting, and selling dragon and doing horrible things to them. We've been trying to stop them but, we usually get out numbered even with a Night Furry." Astrid explained as she stood next to Hiccup.

I looked over to Midnight as she nuzzled her head into me.

"I couldn't imagine a world without you. . Or without any dragon." I whispered.

"Ok, I'll stay but I'd like to go back to my island and collect my belongings." I looked back towards the group and announced.

"Perfect! Welcome to the dragon riders Katie." Fishlegs yelled happily.

"Me and toothless can go with you and help collect your things while the gang stays behind and starts collecting materials for your hut. Until then you can stay with me and Toothless." Hiccup explained with a smile.

I nodded in response and hopped into Midnight.

"Why does he always get to do the fun things?" Tuff complained.

"Forget that why does he always get to go with the lady's? She obviously wants to go with me." Snotloud groaned as he leaned onto his dragon.

"Snotloud just do what you told, and to be fair I wouldn't want to traumatize the new girl." Hiccup shit back causing me and the rest of the group to let out a laugh.

"I guess we should get going huh?" I asked Hiccup.

"I guess so c'mon." He hopped into Toothless and we took off.
