//Alright first author's note woo. So even thought no one will ever read this and I am really the only Heyimgrape shipper I'm just gonna roll with it. So to nobody I give you Chapter 2..//
My eyes groggily opened before I even realized I had even been asleep. The acorn I had once held was nowhere to be seen, neither on the floor nor in my hand. Ignoring the constant buzzing of my phone and began the frantic search for the lost acorn, it seemed really silly and I felt like an idiot but something about the acorn made me feel kind of attached to it. I was in the midst of my search when I heard a knock on the door and Mitch strutted in, seeming very proud of himself. When he spotted me on the floor I stopped, quickly conjuring an excuse for my sudden ventures on the floor.
"Uh Bee, what are you doing?"
He said raising his eyebrow, looking me up and down, trying to find a reason for why I was scrambling around on the floor like a child, and frankly so was I. Do I tell him about the acorn? No he'll think I'm weird and tease me about, or worse, he'll ask why I was so attached to this acorn, and that I didn't have an excuse for, at least not a logical one.
"Uh searching for my uh, contact lenses!"
I came up with at the last minute, that was believable, I think. My search continued ad Mitch stood there; still pondering whether that was a valid answer. Before he could remember that I didn't wear contacts I quickly changed the subject to why he was in my room in the first place.
"Well I have some very good news! I have a date!"
He said, after jumping up and down like a child he strutted out of the room very proud of himself and leaving me to ponder whether this was welcoming news. It was good that he got a date but in a weird way I didn't want him to get a girlfriend, and dates, if they go well, usually lead to dating.
I had a very quiet breakfast as Mitch had gone out with boys, he asked me to go but I knew he would just brag about his date, I decided not to go. I wanted Mitch to be happy but the thought of him getting stolen from me was a little unsettling. What if he fell in love with the girl and they decided to runaway together, I would be all alone in the apartment building, my best friend would be gone. Should I say something to him, should I tell him not to go on his date? I chose no, that wouldn't be right, he had the right to date who he wanted and if he wanted to get on with his life he could, with or without me.
Having already recorded videos, gave me some free time, knowing this I immediately grab my board and was on my way out the door when I got a notification of the weather, it was 103 out, god damit summer. My skating plans being ruined by the weather I slumped down in my chair, waiting for something to happen, anything really. After 10 minutes of straight silence I logged onto team speak, hoping for a friendly conversation to start up that I could join. Sadly me being Australian made so that no one else was on, great.
Twitter check, instagram, twitter check, instagram. That was my life for a whole half hour. It wasn't till a while later in which I had almost fallen asleep, that I heard the blessed words, User Joined You Channel.
It was Grape. I quickly unmuted on team speak, glad to final have someone to talk to after the long silence that had lurked the apartment since breakfast.
"Grapey poo!"
I shouted, my spirits quickly rising, hoping to scare him. Grape was a nice guy and he had quickly become one of my best friends on the Cube since him and Mitch became close and I started recording with them a lot.
"Hey I'm Bee!"
He shouted back, sounding unfazed and saying each syllable separate like he always did. The sound of his voice made me cheer up, even if only a little bit. Grape had been very cheery lately and his enthusiasm made my day better. It was weird his enthusiasm, but a good weird, a weird I could get used to.
"So how's life?"
I asked, surprising myself for the weird question. I barely ever asked something like that; it would always lead to a deep, meaningful conversation that I wasn't very good at responding to. But weirdly I felt as if I needed a deep conversation, and Grape seemed like the perfect person to have it with.
"Actually really good! So good that your gonna need to see it to believe it, hop on Skype?"
I got as a response, his voice cracking and dripping with excitement. With a slight giggle I loaded up Skype and waited for Grape to get on. Once on he immediately brought up face cam and begun to turn on his phone, looking for something. I could tell he found it as a smile spread across his face as he brought up his phone to the screen. At first I saw nothing but as the camera came into focus I was able to make out a plane ticket.
"So? Why do you need a plane ticket, what's so exciting about it."
I said glumly, the depressed feeling returning. What I thought was going to be a meaningful conversation and good news had turned out to be a silly plane ticket that I really didn't care about.
"It's not the plane ticket that's so exciting Bee, its whose plane ticket it is that is so exciting!"
He responded, now almost bouncing in his chair as if the very thought of the ticket was going to make him explode with excitement.
"And whose ticket would it be that makes it so exciting?"
I questioned, quickly losing interest in this conversation, it wasn't till he responded cryptically that I froze in mid Twitter check,
"Bee, I'm coming to Australia."
//Hope you liked this me even though it was super crappy! But at least the storys moving along. Alright this is stupid I'm just gonna go//
