~Camron~Michael was such an angel, but his signs of affection were of little help as I continued to worry for Sam's safety. Should I leave the room to check if Sam was okay or should I stay to care for these little bundles of love? "Love you, momma," Michael said so softly while laying his head in my lap, I grazed my hand in his soft hair as he slowly began to fall asleep. I reached my hand behind me trying to grab a pillow for him to lay his head on, I pulled one off from my daughter's bed only to see a small book slide out of the case. I picked it off the ground and saw Shelly's name written on the front page. "Shelly, what is this?" I asked "It's... It's full of drawings I did in the past year or so mommy" I opened the leather-cased book seeing a picture of me, Michael, Sam, Abby, and Shelly at the bakery. "Baby this is beautiful! You did so well with the crayon love." I had a big smile on my face as I continued to read the book, the art was amazing and I was still wondering why Shelly didn't show me this before. Page after page I laid my eyes on eagerly awaiting to see what was next, all the pages were so happy and full of love. It was only till maybe the twentieth page I turned my head to Shelly and saw a sad little girl, her arms around her legs, chin on her knees. "Keep reading it." She told me, so I did... and I found the pictures she drew today.
-Dialogue-
Camron~ Baby why did you draw this?
Shelly~ Because... because... I don't know, I guess I just needed something to do so I wouldn't notice all the yelling
Camron~ So instead of hearing the yelling you decided to draw what was happening?"
Shelly~ Sounds stupid now
Camron~ I didn't even see you looking, did all of you see it?
Shelly~ Well Michael saw the whole thing, me and Abby saw only parts of it
Camron~ okay... well... come here baby, sit down
Shelly~ okay mom...
Camron~ I want you to know, no matter what happens I will always love you, and will always be there when you need me. If you need someone to talk to, I'm here.
Shelly~ *sniffles* Okay mommy
Christopher~ Honey... what's going on in there! I demand you open this door right now!
~Camron~
I heard the doorknob turning left to right but being stopped when it got to the middle by the lock, the door was shaking violently and Chris continued yelling, demanding the door be opened. I shook Michael up and told everyone to get behind me. "Camron! If you don't open up the fucking door I'll bust it open or climb through the window! And you all will be in for a surprise!" The kids, staring to faintly cry and they told me not to open it, they were scared from hearing their father's taunting voice. "Chris... I'm not opening the door till you promise you won't hurt the kids" "Honey... You know I'd never do that! I love them so much, they're my whole world Camron." Something was off for sure, the words he said couldn't have sounded more fake. So I kept quiet and didn't open the door, I also locked the window just in case. "Camron baby... I know you are still there, just open the door I reassure you! There's nothing to be scared of." "Where is Sam?" I had to ask, my mind was too unsteady and worried. "Sam will be fine... He's in a better place." I fell on my knees, I didn't want to believe it, I wouldn't believe it. "No, you didn't! No! How could you!" "Camron! I told you he's okay! He's in his room now packing up and you can say goodbye to him before he leaves." Was what he said the truth? Was Sam okay? Or was it a trick so he could make us leave the room? I decided not to risk it and more importantly not to risk the lives of my kids, so I decided to stay and remain firm.
