A ball ?

Chapter 10:

3rd person pov:

It had been a few days after leonora nightmare and things between the two women began to grow stronger, now sat in there office directly opposite each other at other ends of the office.
It was now afternoon and Both headmistresses had finished religiously marking there first years end of unit exams which had caused both women to be drugged by sleep deprivation.
"I suppose we should start heading to the assembly hall soon." Sighed leonora looking over her piles of unmarked papers to look at the blond.

"Oh yes!" Squealed the godmother "I can't wait for the students reaction."

Today was the day that both heads had decided to notify the students of the first ever never and ever ball, a celebration to commemorate the unity of both schools.
Though Lady lesso had to admit she was quite hesitant of the idea, she had to admit the friendships and acquaintanceships between the Evers and Nevers had dramatically increased, more than Clarissa's and herself expected, however evil was still evil and good was still good.
Even if everthing did go as planned the red head knew she'd have to be on constant alert all night, stopping students from sneaking in alcohol, stopping any fights and after-parties as well as stop any students from 'reproducing'.
Just the thought of this ball had tired her, knowing it would be full of glitz and glamour and even if she didn't want to come Clarissa had already said
"you must come, what would the students think if there own headmistresses were not there to show coexistence and unity?"

"Ugh" complained the taller woman, who grabbed her cane ready to make her way to the assembly hall.
Lesso walked towards Clarissa's desk before reaching out her free hand towards the godmother "princess" she said offering her hand which Clarissa accepted almost immediately.
Clarissa looked back up at the red head before smiling and standing up,
"Why thank you, my lady" she chuckled politely, a slight rouge on her cheeks.

*time skip*

As the teachers began to enter the great hall chatter was prominent across both evil and good, all students chatting with each other as if they had known one another there whole lives

Clarissa and lesso both stood in the middle of the stage.
Getting slightly frustrated with the noise and the fact the students dismissed there presence. Lesso slapped her cane harshly on the floor shouting "SHUT IT!" Both noises echoing throughout the hall scaring all the students, causing a slight few to shake in fear.
She smirked to herself turning her head slightly to see Dovey who gave her a 'are you serious' type of look

"Grace and beauty first?" Chimed Clarissa fluttering her eye lashes slightly.

"If you insist, claris-"

"So glad we could agree" Dovey stated cutting off the other woman stepping slightly forward.

"Good afternoon all" said the blond her smile lighting up the room more if possible

"As we are all aware, our schools are united as one, not only does that mean prosperity and a bright future for all of you, it also means our school is events shall be hosted together"

A look of curiosity lingered among students, who looked left and right towards there peers.
"I and lady lesso shall be hosting the first Ever and Never ball" clarissa laughed smiling brighter than before.

Students looked around smiles lingering there faces, some nevers looked at there old dean who simply shrugged her shoulders then stepping forward to join Her coworker.
The sound of her stiletto heel silencing the students.
"This ball isn't just all for, quote on quote fun and games, it gives you an opportunity to network with others and socialise with your companions in a civilised manner" the last to work melting off her tongue as if a venomous hiss.
"Just because we have been so 'lenient' with you this isn't an invitation to act in an anti-social manner, get drunk start fights and such"

"As lady lesso has very kindly informed you, we shall be expecting no misconduct, however this is an opportunity to have fun with your new Friends and socialise" the other headmistress smiled twirling in her gown releasing a golden glitter across the hall earning a scoff from lesso.

"The ball shall be hosted in a weeks time Friday evening" the evil headmistress lazily said.

"Oh yes and the groom room is open to all students during breaks and lunch and the whole day next Friday, we have many gowns, suits and sewing machines for all" continued Dovey way to exited than lesso had expected

Lesso had quite visibly had enough of this interaction wanting to resume to marking papers.

"Oh yes! Before I forget dance lessons are going to be hosted which are compulsory for both Evers and nevers"

There were a few complaints from the nevers but overall they didn't seem to phased by it.

"Remember this is a chance for you to find the prince or princess of your dreams" Clarissa's laughed

"Or to find a nemesis" smirked lesso causing a few nevers to smirk, clarissa shook her head before dismissing the students and staff who flooded out of the hall, leaving behind the headmistresses. In sync they looked towards another before lowering there gazed out of slight embarrassment.

"Shall we ?" Insisted lesso said offering her arm to Clarissa.

Dovey nodded linking her arm with lessos as they both left the hall.

*Professor Emma Anemone pov*

As if my day couldn't possibly get any worse clarissa announced a ball, oh gosh I sighed.
When any social event occur I always have a bunch of students looking for the best face mask, moisturiser and nail polish etc.
It does get quite tiring, How now Evers all think a pretty frock can make you "good" and how getting a prince seems to be the only dream of princesses these days what happened to Mulan? Or actual princesses which want to fight for peace not just rot in sugar in a castle cradled in gold.

As the assembly continued I started to get bored, Clarissa rambled on about said ball as well as hosting dance lessons. Then out the corner of my eye I see something never in a million years I thought I'd live to see, lesso actually listening to Dovey, oh my!

Ever since the unity of the school I was aware that clarissa and lesso were spending more time together but then one question lingered my mind, what were they doing in that time ?

I smirked at myself, Clarissa had told me of a slight liking towards the Witch last term but had she told lesso?
Had lesso felt the same way ?
Was I going crazy and chasing some none existent drama ?
Or was I right all this time ?

"DISMISSED!" Lady lesso screamed across the hall, signalling for all in the hall to leave....
However....my suspicion got the best of me, I aimed to talk to clarissa after but when I noticed everyone else was leaving apart from them my eyebrow lifted in curiosity so I decided to leave and hid behind a wall next to the great hall.

THATS WHEN I SAW IT. Lady lesso and clarissa Dovey...linking arms....
SMILING at each other oh this was the spice I needed... this was to drama I lived for.

*time skip*

It was now around 3pm and my lessons had just finished, I had just completed arranging the tables and vanity mirrors but I could only think of one thing.
Clarissa and lesso....
I had to get to the bottom of this........

Im sorry this chapter is kinda short, unedited and very unpleasant however the next few chapters are gonna be pure tensionnnnn between Dovey and lesso, especially with the ball coming up things gonna happen (insert wink) I promise x
