"Ugh..." Rex groaned as he regained consciousness. Dromarch sat above him, curiously eyeing the boy laid sprawled on the ground.
"Ah! Master Rex. About time you woke up." Dromarch said, as Rex slowly got to his feet. "Before you ask, your Titan friend crash landed here. He should be nearby."
"What!? Gramps crashed?!" Rex yelled, before he stopped himself from panicking. "Okay, okay...okay. Dromarch, where are we?"
"If I had to guess, I'd say we seem to be on the lower end of the Gormott Province. No other Titan has shrubbery like this, at least, not to my knowledge."
"Gormott, eh?" Rex looked around at the lush swamp they were in. "Where's Nia?"
"I do not know. She must have been separated from us when we crashed."
"Then let's go find them. They gotta be around here somewhere." Rex said. "And let's hurry. This place doesn't look very hospitable." Rex said, as he watched a Brog snap up a Vamp in a split second.
"Very well." Dromarch said. "Let's make haste." The two rushed off. Running past wildlife, and fighting off the ones who attack, Rex became even more worried. Nia is left pretty much defenceless without Dromarch, and the wildlife doesn't seem very friendly.
The path had split up ahead, and Dromarch felt something in the ether, and he recognized it right away. "Master Rex, there is a fork in the road. You should check that path, while I go down this one."
"Yeah, okay. Roar for me or something if you find Nia or Gramps, yeah?" Rex said.
"Very well." Dromarch said, running down the left path. Rex jogged down the right path.
Dromarch ran up to Nia and Gramps. "I'm sorry girl, but these are beyond healing." The Titan rasped, his body pierced by inactivate rockets fired by the cannons on the black ship.
"Don't be silly! I-I'm one of the best Healers in the world. If I can bring your boy back from the brink of death, I can stop you from dying!" She snapped, pouring as much healing ether as she can into the Titan.
"My lady!" Dromarch yelled.
"Dromarch! Get over here and help!" Nia yelled.
"There's no time. Rex is right behind me, and I know you aren't ready to tell him about this." Dromarch demanded.
"You heard him, Nia." Gramps said. "Save your strength so you can help him."
Nia wanted to scream. She stopped healing the old Titan, and let him lay his head down. Back in her yellow jumpsuit, she waited for Rex. Dromarch roared as loud as he could. Soon, Rex came running like the wind.
"Ni-... GRAMPS!" Rex yelled in fear, running even faster.
"Ah. Hey, my boy." Gramps muttered. "Bit of a pickle I'm in, huh?"
"H-hold on! I... I'll..." Speechless, Rex tried to pull the inactive rockets out of Gramps thick hide. Becoming an Aegis made him a lot stronger, and he removed the offending rocket, disgustedly tossing it aside. Nia used Dromarchs healing to immediately try and fix the wound, but Gramps groaned, and Nia felt the ether coming of the Titan dim.
"Gramps... you-you're gonna be okay. Nia and Dromarch brought me back to life. If they can do that, they can patch you up no problem." Rex sounded confident, but he was visibly upset. He was shaking, and constantly checking out the wound.
"I... just need to do... a little more... please!" Nia begged the Architect to let her save this Titan. Eventually, however, her and Dromarch's ether ran dry. They both dropped, exhausted, and Gramps gave a meek, yet sincere chuckle.
