You were sprawled across your hotel bed early in the morning, staring out the window on the opposite wall at the slowly rising sun in the morning blue sky. You knew for a fact that you were the only one awake at the moment, which somewhat amused you. Looked like some things never changed even when you were miles away from home.

Untangling your legs from your blanket and sheets, you sat up and held your pillow in a tight embrace after picking it up from the ground by the bed. Yesterday's shopping trip with Kyo was more fun than you thought it'd be. Kyo ended up being way more invested in shopping than you were, but that's probably because you were busy watching him enjoy himself. His face lit up in excitement when he saw all the pretty things on display, exclaiming how his mom would love this stuff. It made your heart skip a beat seeing him so cheerful instead of his normal cocky self. You wanted to see more of it in the future if you could.

You shook your head to take those thoughts from your mind. What just came over you? Well, you knew the answer to that. You should've been asking yourself why. Was Kyo's flirting starting to get to your head now? That just wouldn't do. He'd never let you live it down if he figured it out. Ugh. Sometimes you wished you could be someone in the background of his life, free to admire him from afar without him caring or even knowing. Free to admit to liking him without feeling immediate guilt for it. What if he were secretly like Hiroto? He's also a delinquent, after all. What if you were misinterpreting his actions as love when he was just being really friendly? Okay, maybe not that first part. You knew him well, and you knew he was kind beneath his rebellious attitude. He would not hurt you like the others did, so maybe you could give him a chance.. you really did want to beneath that rude facade you put up.

You let out a frustrated sigh, letting go of your pillow. Maybe a nice shower and a walk would help you clear your mind. Sliding off the bed, you headed into the bathroom to do just that. Of course, you just had to use up all the fancy and tasty smelling soaps present. You also fixed up your hair in the mirror as you brushed your teeth. Today, you'd forgo heavier makeup in favor of a simple black heart on your cheek, bold eyeliner to highlight your eyes, and some classic bubblegum flavored lip gloss. You didn't want to take up all the attention from the fighters with something more bizarre.

Happy with your look for the day, you headed back out to the main room and put your shoes on at the door. Right before you put your hand on the knob to leave, you suddenly headed back to your bed. Quickly scribbling something down on the notepad on your bedside, you headed outside afterwards and hung the torn piece of paper on the door of your room. You figured letting the guys know you were out was a good idea just in case you were out long enough for them to wonder where you were.

As you were about to turn and head down the hall to the elevators, you heard a door open up behind you. You glanced over your shoulder to see Kyo standing in the door frame to his room, yawning.

"Oi. Where are you going?" He asked, brow furrowed in confusion. It surprised you to see him up so early, but you shook your head and answered him.

"I was going to take a quick walk around, stretch my legs out before the match. What are you doing up so early? You hate mornings."

"Mm. Couldn't fall back asleep. Mind if I join you? I've been meaning to talk to you about something."

That got your heart racing just a little. Was it something super important? Like.. was he a little homesick? Or maybe he was having second thoughts about this tournament..? You were curious about why he didn't bring it up when you were out shopping yesterday, but you shrugged. Maybe it wasn't on his mind yesterday.

"Sure. Try and keep up though, I wanna get back in time to have breakfast with Beni and Goro." You said with a slight smile. As soon as Kyo agreed, you took the elevators down with him and left the hotel.
