After seeing the destruction left behind by the Flame Dragon and rescuing the sole survivor of its devastating aftermath, the 3rd Recon Unit begins evacuating Coda Village and heads back to Alnus Hill. However, not all roads guarantee a safe passage back home.

The scene opens up to Itami rappelling down the well to fetch the unconscious elf girl down there. "I got her!" Itami shouts to his team.

They begin driving the humvee to pull up both Itami and the girl once they were strapped in safely.
Meanwhile, in the ditch nearby, Toyokami was shouting as Keith had tied her up using rope from the rope shield form of the Legendary Shield and gagged her with a cloth to keep her voice muffled. [1]
"I swear she's swearing at us in German." Zane said.
"She is. I can hear her in her room." Carlson confirmed.
"Same here." Argus nodded
"How? You're two rooms away from her." Ashley said, perplexed.
"One; I have pretty decent hearing. Something I picked up. And two; she's just... really loud." Argus answered. "It's a blessing and a curse"
"Sōdesu ne, karera no iu koto wa shinjitsudesu. {I guess, what they say is true.}" Kai comments. "Doitsunin wa hontōni okorippoi hitodesu. {Germans are really angry people.}"
Toyokami gives him the middle finger. "And you just proved his point." Zane remarked with a chuckle.
"Bù huì gǎibiàn měiguó rén xǐhuān qiāngshā yīqiè de shìshí. {Doesn't change the fact that Americans love shooting everything.}" Owen snarked, making Zane scoff.
"I'll shoot you with a fireball–"
"Do that and you'll alert them of our presence." Carlson warns.
"And prove Owen's point." Argus added
"That's why I wasn't going to do it. Let me finish my sentence first, aight?" Zane grumbled, dropping his arm, signifying that he was actually going to do it.
With the 3rd Recon, Sergeant First Class Kurokawa, Mari has checked the girl's vitals to see if she is okay.
"Her BP is high enough to move her, but we need to get her out of these wet clothes." Kurokawa said, getting a nod from her only other female teammate.
