We are still living in Hawkins 👍
Tw: a lot of stuff that's just really bad

Jonathan put down the pot on the dining table. Calling for his brother and his boyfriend. Will and Mike had been dating for a few months now yet it only felt like 2 weeks to them. For everyone else they were a nightmarish couple. They were the type of couple to ditch everyone to be together. But the two didn't mind. They loved each other's company.

Jonathan sat down at one side of the table. His mother not home yet from her long hours at work. Will and Mike sat down. Mike did not waste a second to grab food. Guest first right? Except Mike wasn't really a guest anymore. Sure he still accidentally called Will's mom Ms. Byers but that was just something he had always done. He felt at home in the Byers residence.

A knock would soon disrupt their peaceful silence as Jonathan stood up to answer. Their floor plan was very open. But Will still stood up to be able to see who was at the door. And he flashed pale at the sight of his father. Mike noticed and also stood up. Not recognising the old man in the doorway.
Jonathan's heart was also racing. But he knew not to fear him. He couldn't do harm to them anymore. But Will didn't yet understand that.

"Hey son, how about you move? I have something to retrieve-" Lonnie said, trying to push past Jonathan.
"What do you want"
"What?" Lonnie said, confused by his own child.
"I said, WHAT do you WANT!"

Mike had understood by this time that the old man was Will and Jonathan's father. And Mike knew about him. Will and Mike both sharing deep conversations lead to one another puzzle bit to the story of him. Will never openly talked about him. But Mike knew he was an alcoholic, mean, and abusive. The short story's Will had told were only pieces of it. This had been going on since Will was 6 until he was about 8. Their horrible father drinking and abusing them both everyday.

"YOU DO NOT SPEAK TO ME LIKE THAT!" Will flinched. He was afraid. So terribly afraid.
"Listen, you need to get OUT! Before I call the cops on you-"

A loud smack was heard throughout the room as Mike stood in terror watching Jonathan stumble back. That man just slapped a child. His own child. Mike couldn't help but push Will behind him. Even if Mike was scared he knew Will was even more scared. Terrified. Every memory of this man flooding back to him.

"That's what I thought, weak... I didn't raise both of you fags... now where's the other one"
Jonathan was still standing. And he was gonna fight if he so died of it. He was not gonna come near his brother.

But Jonathan stood no chance against the tall man. He was simply punched off to the side with a bloody nose as Lonnie moved further into the house. His eyes landed on Will. And the taller boy in front of him.

"Who's this, Will?! WILLIAM SPEAK TO ME" Lonnie was upset. He came to meet his sons and to take them with him. His new wife had wanted to meet them. And he thought it was best they just came along for good.

Will was trembling. There was only one thought in his mind.
"Call the cops..." He whispers red to Mike.
"You call them..." Mike whispered back, watching the man slowly stumble towards them.
"No... I can take a hit, just go"
"Will no!-"
"Mike, yes, now go!" Will pushed Mike to the side.

Mike could see the angry man get closer to Will. But at the same time Jonathan got up. Mike sprinted to the phone. Ringing the police. Every crash form the kitchen would send a shiver down his spine.

"911 what's your emergency?"
Mike explained the situation as fast as he could. He didn't have time to sit and chat on the phone. He needed to do something. The Wiman to,d him to stay on the line but as soon as she told him a police was sent he hung up and ran back to the kitchen.

His eyes were salty with tears as Will laid on the ground. Not lifeless but almost. Jonathan was tossing his father around. Both rolling on the floor. Mike sat down right next to Will. His head was bleeding and his body was limb.

"Will wake up! Will wake up! WILL CAN YOU HEAR ME, WILL?!" Mike was frantically screaming.
The sirens got louder as they got closer. Mike was shaking Will. Now crying. This couldn't be happening. Will was supposed to be safe here.

A few men stormed into the house as Mike turned to look at the scene. He could see Jonathan's bloody and bruised face as they pulled the manic man out of the house.

"I WILL BE BACK!" He was screaming, but Jonathan only cared about his brother.
He ran towards him, a few nurses following to help Jonathan but realizing the bigger problem.

One pulled Mike away. He was crying his eyes out. He didn't want to leave Will's side. One picked Will up and carried him out. Another leading Jonathan out. And lastly Mike being walked out.

Joyce came running as she parked her car. The policeman stopped her from getting too close.
"THAT'S MY BOY! I NEED TO SEE HIM!" She was also screaming.
Mike's thoughts were a blur as he sat down next to Jonathan in one of the ambulances. Jonathan was getting his wounds treated as they both watched Will get carried into the other ambulance and driven off. Joyce was still screaming.

"H-He will be okay right?" Jonathan was asking each and every nurse. All with the same answer. "Yes he will be fine".
Joyce was also allowed into the ambulance. She hugged Jonathan tightly.

"Sweetie what happened?" Jonathan seemed unable to speak. He blamed himself. He shouldn't have fought back. But if he didn't he would have taken Will?
"Lonnie..." Mike was able to say.
"W-Where is he now?" The terror in Joyce's voice was unimaginable.
"J-Jail..."

Only a few hours had passed. Mike was sitting in the waiting room of the hospital. He wasn't allowed into the room. He wasn't a family member. He was shaking. What if Will didn't wake up?

"Hey man! You alright? What happened?" It was Dustin and Lucas. They came to the hospital?

Both boys sat down next to Mike. Mike would have cried but he felt he couldn't. He was out of tears. Will might have died. Might have died because he was stupid enough to let himself call the cops.
"Hey man, he's gonna be alright! We just need to know what happened?"
Will had never told them about Lonnie had he? Mike sat quietly. He didn't want to speak about him. He didn't want to remember. He didn't even want it to be a memory. He wanted to push all thoughts away. He didn't wanna have to remember the horrible sights he saw.

"Mike, Dustin and Lucas?" A nurse asked. Mikes eyes shock right up to the nurse.
"Visitors for William Byers?" She asked.
"I-Is he awake!" Mike almost screamed.
"Yes, but on,y one at a time can come in I'm afraid..."
Mike looked at both Dustin and Lucas.
"Dude, go!" Lucas laughed.

Mike stood up and sprinted out of the waiting room and down to the room Will was in. He launched himself into Wills arms as he saw him. Will smiling at his sappy boyfriend.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" Was what Mike was repeating over and over.
"Mike! It's okay... I said I could take the hit?"

Mike chuckled a little. Jonathan was sat on the other side of the bed. Watching them snuggle in each other's arms. Joyce couldn't help but smile at the two. They were adorable.

This Aden out so much longer than expected lol
