*Vyserra's POV*

Vyserra spent the rest of her day with her new puppies which she had named Balerion and Vermithor. Although she was happy, she was pining after Aemond and just wanted to spend every minute with him.

She half hoped he would forget his chivalry and visit her after dark, but she knew it was extremely unlikely when they weren't betrothed, as it would be a huge sign of disrespect.

She awoke on the day of the tourney excited, if not a little nervous. Aemond would be fighting and she dreaded to think he would get hurt, although he was the most able fighter in the Seven Kingdoms. She was happy he wouldn't be participating in the joust at least, as that was the most dangerous.

For the joust she wore a white dress with green stitching that Alicent had gifted her. She had stitched her own favour, a scarf, to match her dress. The dress was figure hugging with an exposed shoulder. She wore her hair loose with braids around the crown of her head.

Her and her ladies made their way to the royal box, all excited and wondering who would ask for whose favours. Vyserra knew Aemond would ask for hers before the fighting which made her heart flutter.

The joust was to begin first, there were many knights taking their place in the ranks and a few men had already come and asked ladies to step forward, where they would then ask for their favours.

Vyserra was happily gossiping to Helena when she heard a, "Princess Vyserra," from the front, she didn't know who it was so she got up and walked to the front, her favour was in her hand. The knight lifted his helm and it was Lancel Beesbury, "Your favour," he said quite rudely.

Vyserra had opened her mouth to reject him, when he grabbed the favour out of her hand and cantered away on his gelding. Vyserra stood open mouthed and she turned and caught eyes with Alicent, who paled. Alicent knew that someone would be running to the changing area to tell Aemond that Vyserra had given away her favour and it would not end well.

Vyserra paled too, Alicent got up and took her back to her seat, "Extremely rude, someone will be having words with Beesbury."

Vyserra felt sick, not only at being disrespected so rudely in front of the royal family, but for Aemond's reaction when he saw Vyserra's favour on Lancel Beesbury's armor.

Vyserra was sitting in anticipation, she felt extremely nauseous. Lancel Beesbury had unhorsed two knights when the crier shouted, "Prince Aemond will enter the ranks."

Lancel Beesbury's posture changed from one of vanity to one of alarm. The crowd had went silent, everyone knew Aemond was not on the lists to joust today and that he was here to fix the slight Lancel Beesbury had put upon him in taking the woman he was courting's favour.

Aemond rode his war house up to the ranks at full gallop and stopped at his end of the joust. He wasn't wearing any armor and it was clear he wasn't ready to joust, he didn't even have a helmet on.

"For God's sake, Viserys! He could get hurt, stop him!" Alicent cried at her husband.

Vyserra could see Aemond shouting at the men to let the joust start, as his father got to his feet to stop the joust but it was too late. Aemond had a lance in hand and was galloping at Lancel Beesbury. Vyserra thought she was going to faint with panic.

Three times the horses galloped before a blow was made, Vyserra let out a huge sigh of relief as did Alicent when Lancel Beesbury went flying off his horse, knocked unconscious. Aemond jumped off his horse, ripped Vyserra's favour from Lancel's passed out body and tucked it into his shirt while the crowd cheered for their Prince, before remounting his horse and galloping away, in the direction of the dragon pit. She had never seen Aemond look so angry before.

Vyserra looked at her ladies, not knowing how to react and clapped with the rest of the crowd. Lancel Beesbury was taken to the medical tent.

Vyserra sat still in shock while she watched Vhagar take to the skies and wondered if Aemond was angry at her. She was sure he couldn't be, she didn't give Beesbury her favour, he took it. There was something on Aemond's face which made her think he might not have realised that.

She made her way back to the castle, full of anxiety again.

"Don't worry Vyserra, he is not angry at you, that was a public slight from Beesbury and I'm sure we haven't heard the end of it, but you haven't done anything wrong," her mother said to her. "Go and try and relax, I'm sure he will be back soon."

But he wasn't back soon, Vyserra watched at the window for hours to see Vhagar land back at the dragon pit and it wasn't until the skies were dark she returned. Vyserra couldn't shake the thought that Aemond was angry at her and she felt sick.

She waited for hours in case Aemond visited her, but he did not come. It was the middle of the night when she was laying awake that she heard a loud knock, but it wasn't coming from her door. She ran over to the tapestry and pulled it out of the way and found a secret door behind it, she opened it to see Aemond on the other side, with the same looked he had earlier on his face.
