The Vanishing of Will Byers and Carter Henderson pt.2

The three present party members sat in the AV Club room messing with their new radio that came in when the Principle and Jim Hopper showed up.

"I'm sorry, could I borrow Lucas, Mike, and Dustin?" The principle asked and the three boys looked at each other in confusion. The two men lead the boys into the Principle's office with another deputy and immediately the three started rambling and talking over each other Hopper rubbing the bridge of his nose in annoyance.

"Ok, ok, ok. One at a time alright?" He ordered quieting the boys. "You." He looked at Mike who nodded.

"You said he takes what?" Jim asked.

"Mirkwood." Mike answered

"Mirkwood?" Jim pondered "You ever heard of that before?" Jim turned to his deputy who shook his head.

"Sounds made up to me." He shook his head.

"It's from Lord of the Rings." Lucas explained before Dustin piped up.

"It's from the Hobbit actually." Immediately the others got into an argument before the Chief yelled.

"Hey, hey! I said. One. At a dame time." He emphasized his words shutting them up again.

"Mirkwood. It's a real place the name is just made up it's on the corner of Cornwallis and Curling meet."

"Yeah I know where that is." Jim nodded

"We can show you if you want." Mike offered but Hopper shut him down.

"I said that I know it." He barked not phasing the three.

"We can help look." Mike offered again.

"No. After school you are all to go home. Immediately. That means no biking around, no investigating." Hopper listed.

"That's my sister out there." Dustin's eyes watered a bit and Jim's face softened.

"I know kid. Your big sister and your friend are really good kids and I'm gonna find them both. I promise."

I woke up coughing. I blinked my eyes open seeing the same shed we were in earlier but with black vines covering the walls and dust particles floating in the air around me. I immediately saw Will passed out next to me and crawled on my hands and knees over to him. I brushed his hair from his face before gently tapping his cheek.

"Will. Will wake up Bubs." I whispered not hearing anything around us at the moment. We need to get out of here. It took a few moments before his eyes fluttered open and he coughed as I rubbed his back soothingly.

"Where are we?" He asked and I looked around.

"I don't know, but we can't stay here. Luckily I have snacks in my bag so we will be ok for now, but we gotta move." I answered as I helped him up and we walked towards the door.

"Will if we get separated, go for Castle Byers ok?" I asked and he nodded.

"Yeah ok."

The Byers were sitting in their home. Joyce had just got off the phone when Hopper pulled in the driveway.

"Mom?"

"What?" She asked as she saw her son stood staring out the front window.

"Cops." He uttered as they walked over to the door and outside. Hopper pulled both Will's bike and Carters board from his trunk walking up to her front door. Jim motioned for his officers to check out the place.

"He has a key right?"

"Yeah why?" Joyce replied.

"Well maybe, they came here last night." He suggested
