"How much would I have to pay to buy those wings?".
It seemed like everyone had been put under a spell, the entire gallery went silent, and people turned to stare at the man who had spoken.
"They're not for sale", said Namjoon, shortly.
"Anything is for sale if you pay enough", the pale man began walking over to where Namjoon and Hoseok stood, "I just need to know how much enough is".
"They're not for sale", Namjoon repeated.
Turning to Hoseok, the man spoke again, this time with a slight smirk on his face, "And how about you? How much could I pay you to get that sculpture?".
Annoyed, Hoseok snapped, "As my associate said, they're not for sale".
"Why not?", he said, "I'm willing to pay a rather large sum. Perhaps you could at least pass along my offer to RM".
"Well, I'm afraid I will have to disappoint you", Namjoon spoke slowly, "Those wings are not for sale, and will never be for sale, no matter the amount of money you offer. RM has made that very clear to me, and my associate".
Unsatisfied, the man sighed, "And for $1,000,000? Would it be for sale if I offered that?".
Gasps and whispers echoed throughout the crowd, as $1,000,000 was no small fee.
Taken aback, Namjoon inquired, "Why, may I ask, do you want that sculpture so bad?".
"Why, may I ask, does the artist refuse to sell it? We all have our reasons, don't we?".
The atmosphere was gradually getting more uncomfortable and pressured by the sentence.
Breaking the silence, the man spoke, "It's really none of your business", he crossed his arms, "But, I'll tell you anyway. Maybe you will sympathize with me better, and allow me to purchase that sculpture. It's for a friend's birthday. He's leaving soon, for the military, and I wanted to give him something before he leaves".
"Must be quite a friend if you're willing to spend that much money", Hoseok hinted.
The man glared at him, "As I said, it's none of your business".
Namjoon was lost in thought. He knew that either move that he made would result in backlash. If he allowed this man to purchase his treasured wings, it would lead to others trying to buy items that are not for sale. And was he really ready to give them up? However, if he refused the offer outright, people might view the artist as rude and displeasing toward customers. There was only one thing he could do.
"I'm sorry, sir. I cannot allow that sculpture to be purchased. However, I believe RM would be willing to compromise. A personalized commission for your friend. Whatever his heart desires to be made, RM will create it for him".
Spectators in the gallery began to whisper once again at his words.
The pale man contemplated Namjoon's proposition, as it was fair for both sides.
"Alright", he extended his hand, "Let us meet to discuss this. Perhaps after you close?".
"Of course.", Namjoon said, taking his hand, "We close at 8, Mister ...".
"Min. Min Yoongi".

It was dark outside of the gallery, the sun having set more than an hour ago. It was dark inside too, with the exception of an office that had its lights fully on.
Inside sat 2 men sitting around a conference table, contract documents laid out before them.
"And we will never get to see RM?".
"I'm sorry", Namjoon spoke, "But RM insists on total anonymity, at all times. We have discussed it with him, and I, Kim Namjoon, will act as his spokesperson. Whatever you wish, or your friend wishes for him to sculpt, you will let me know".
"I doubt my friend will be having much contact with you. He will know about the sculpture, but I wish for the piece to be revealed to him only once it is finished".
"I understand".
"Oh, and what about the other?", mused Yoongi, "The other man who was with you- what was his name? Will he be working as a spokesperson as well?".
"Hoseok, you mean. And no, he will not. He has another, part-time job besides this one".
Yoongi nodded, "Fine, then", he turned his focus onto the documents and picked up a pen from the desk.
Namjoon followed suit, nervously signing his name. The pair ended the conference by shaking hands and agreeing on a time to meet again.
Tomorrow, at 10 am, Namjoon will be meeting with Min Yoongi and his friend, at Yoongi's house, to discuss his first-ever commission.
