The dead end

There is always a beginning,
So is the end
But nothing bad like a dead end
You all know what I am insinuating.

The end of a thing is devastating,
Death, the baffling misery.
Have you ever asked yourself...what was there 2000 years BC,
What we are told is a vague history of recollection of events following after.

Ever wondered where extinct organisms go?
Did they evolve to something or did the dead evolve to aliens?? Questions worthy answers

Anyway!
The end is near,
Not in a prophetic nor evangelism aspect,
But in the form of Deforestation, pollution, GMOs, Human made diseases.
Global warming 🌐 is an enormous threat to the earth.

Two things I am afraid of,
Deforestation makes me weep inside
Maggots!! They make me want to leave my skin 👿 not kidding

My memories from 25 years ago,
Are vivid like a photograph hanging on the wall,
The landscapes are breathtaking,
Those huge sycamore, baobab, the emetembe, Emesere, Emetaburo, Imikanga!

The swamps with a Royco muchuzi mix soup like water!
The clean clear water streams with the small fish dancing in the sun,
Rivulets of clear water along the roadsides,
The bird melodies and hoots of the night owls, the first crows of the early cocks,
Aaah! This was next to paradise.

Those moments of going to chase monkeys from maize fields,
The occasional pop-ups of Impala and Dear
Hares and hyenas, less often the scary beautiful sights,
Of a sleeping leopard on tall trees,
Used to give my heart arrhythmias!
A reminder; I am still human and alive!

Aaah!
Today everything is dead.
Dusty roads!
Where there were swamps...
Now sit bare eroded depths evidence of dried-up river beds

Where hills lied majestically now remains bare land with pebbles,
Humans ploughed and mined,
Chopped and burnt all life that belonged to these sacred hills.
Our once productive lands are now semi-deserts!

The living is dead!
By then, people's hearts were alive, the society shared resources and laughter,
A child was for society, help and guidance were freely offered,
Unlike the society of today, we walk alive yet dead inside.

We care less for the living yet gather to celebrate the dead,
We never offer guidance to the strays, yet point fingers at the lost
The sad fact is; it is a dead end for humankind and our lovely earth🌍
It is a dead society breeding useless beings who care less about humanity and nature!
