I woke up and thought it was the morning but I picked up my phone and saw it was only 3. So I got in a small little nap and was fully awake. I got up and I realized I still have to unpack. "UGHH" I moaned to myself. Instead of starting that I grabbed my phone and FaceTimed my best friend so that we could talk while I unpacked. I waited about 10 seconds for her to answer and when she finally answered I was so happy.
"Jemma!" I screamed in excitement. "Tessa!" She yelled back. "Omg, I miss you so much." She said putting on a fake pouty face. I laughed. "I miss you too, but I just left!" I said. "I know. HaHa... So when am I visiting?" She said laughing, I laughed along. "You might not want to leave." I said still laughing. "What is so good about your house?" She stopped laughing and tried to keep a straight face. "Well... My room is a finished basement with a small kitchen and a living room with a huge movie screen... Nothing fancy." I tried to hold in my laugh. "I'm coming to live with you! Are you serious?" She laughed. "Yeah!" We both laughed. "So whatcha doin?" Jemma said after all the laughter. "Fixing to unpack. What about you?" "Nothing much. Okay text me when your done getting settled. Remember, give your dad a chance. Don't have your nose in your phone all the time. Hang out with him. You haven't seen him in 7 years." She said being serious. "I know. I just feel like I won't make any friends. And I really miss you. But I'm going to give him a chance." "Good... And were going to hang out. I'm coming to see that bad ass apartment!" She laughed. "Okay! I wuv you!" I said laughing. "Love you too Tess!" She said right before she hung up. God do I miss her already.
I put on some music and started to put up my clothes. The rest of my stuff will be mailed to me and should be here in a few days. I was done putting things up. I only had like 4 or 5 of my favorite outfits. Everything I didn't want I threw away at home. Well my home in Florida. So before school starts in 2 weeks I get to go shopping. When all my clothes were up I found all my bathroom stuff and my cash. I got together all my money and sat on down and started counting. I was excited when I saw a few hundred dollar bills. This was my life savings. I had saved up $3,000 sense I was 13. "Wow" I said to myself. I picked up the envelope from my mother, and began counting. The cash from my mom added up to $15,000. "Oh my god. I cant keep this." I said to myself. I picked up my phone and texted my mom. 'Mom! ARE YOU CRAZY? I DON'T NEED ALL THIS MONEY. I'M SENDING IT BACK!' I texted and she answered almost instantly. 'TESS!!! KEEP IT! HAVE FUN! I LOVE YOU!' I felt bad but I did kinda want to keep it. 'Are you sure?' 'Yes. I love you' I was a little guilty for being happy. 'I love you too' And that was the end of that. I stored my cash away for when we go shopping, and started to straighten up. I'm gonna try to keep my room clean. I laughed at the thought.
My father came down looking ready to go shopping or to dinner or something. "Ready sweet girl?" He asked. "For what?" I said while picking up my jacket off the floor. "We are gonna take you room shopping. I'm paying." H giggled. "Oh, Okay. Yes sir. Let me freshen up." "Okay I'll be in the car." He said as he walked up the stairs. "Okay, Thanks daddy!" I grabbed my bag of necessities and walked up yo the bathroom, which was unfortunately at the top of the stairs. I fixed my makeup, brushed my teeth really quick, and combed through my hair. When I was happy with my appearance I walked back down to get my phone and hoodie and walked out to the car.
"Okay Tessa, Don't break my wallet." He laughed as he started driving to the furniture store. "Yes sir." We laughed and he turned on the radio. We didn't try to start a conversation. We got to the furniture store about 30 minutes later. "Yay!" I said and me and my dad laughed.
