The car ride was fun at the beginning, then it got a little boring because we had already been talking for almost an hour so we kinda lost conversation. My dad basically told me about how his life is up here and what his schedule is. He works for the government so I'd imagine I'll have it good. It's going to take a long time to get used to this. As long as I can find a few good friends to hang out with so I'm not with my dad all the time. That would suck, I'll eventually get tired of him and want to go home. We were almost to my new home when my dad broke down the rules. "Okay Tess, I want you to have fun, but you do have rules. Okay?" He said making quick eye contact before looking back to the road. "Go on." I laughed and then got serious. "NO boys over unless I know about it. No sneaking out and around. You can have friends over if I am aware. No stupid stuff, like fooling around with drugs and sex and stuff like that. Got it?" We both laughed a little bit and then he assured me that he was being serious. "Yes sir. But I don't mess around with stuff like that. Right now grades are important to me, but I do like to hang out with my friends a lot." I giggled and mumbled, "as soon as I make some." "You'll make friends. Don't worry about it." He said as he laughed along with me. We sat in quite for the next minute or so, and then we pulled up to the house. I looked at the house top to bottom and I was wowed. It looked almost new, and so inviting.

My dad got my things out of the trunk and tossed me the keys. He followed closely behind me just laughing. I guess this is it. "Welcome home!" My dad said as I put the key in the door and opened it. "Wow!" Was all I could manage to say. "You have your own space. As long as you come hang out with me sometimes don't stay in your apartment forever." He laughed. "M-my w-what!?" I dropped the keys and became speechless. "That door." He pointed to the garage door and there was a another door nest to it. I saw it immediately and ran towards it. My dad just laughed at me and started walking to meet me down there.

I ran ran down the stairs and almost fell and my dad laughed at me. But when I reached the foot of the stairwell I was speechless. I had no words. None at all. I looked around and I had my own living room with a huge flat screen and a comfy couch and I had a little mini kitchen with a sink, a mini fridge and a small little pantry, a coffee machine and a toaster. Wow was that the coolest thing. I had my own little home, I didn't see a bed. Without looking around, I looked at my dad and he like read my mind and pointed to a door. I walked over and opened the door.

I thought I was a princess at that point. I had a huge room and I walked over to my closest which was massive. "Dad! Oh my God! Thank you so much!" I said as I walked over to give him a hug. "Wow!" I knew this would make you happy but I didn't know you would be this excited." He laughed while he took my in his arms. "Thank you daddy!" "Welcome baby!" He said while letting go from the hug. "Okay sweet girl, do you need help getting settled?" He asked as he walked over to the stairs. "No sir. But I was wondering if you could help me find a car..?" I gave him the little girl pretty please face, and started to lightly giggle. "You trying to run away already?" He laughed at me. "No, not yet." I laughed. "I just want to be able to drive myself to school and go shopping and stuff. Because I'm almost absolutely sure you don't want to drive me to the mall all the time." He just looked at me and smiled. "What?" I tried to hold in my laugh. "You've grown up so much." He smiled and I could see some tears form in his eyes. "Awe thanks daddy, but I'll always be your little girl." I went in for a short hug. "I know. But we will find you a nice little car. And who is paying for this car?" He looked at me expecting I was gonna say that he would be paying for the car. "Me. I brought my life savings and some cash from mom. Thats how I have the money to be going to the mall at the time. I work for my money. The money that buys me clothes and shoes, because if I asked for money to go to the mall everyday you would be broke." I said this sarcastically. He just laughed at me the whole time I was talking. "Alright girly. Get situated and get some rest." He said as he came over to give me a peck on the head. "Okay daddy. I love you and I'm so happy to be here." "I love you too and I'm so happy to have you back." He turned and walked up the stairs. This is perfect. I pulled out my phone and found out that I have been travailing all day. It's 11:30 so it felt like all day and by the time I'm done unpacking I'm gonna be so tired. My dad said he want to take me shopping for some bedroom furniture though because he didn't know what to get so for today I'm on a air mattress. Comfy.
