Everyone rode off, following Holly, and chatted along the way. "So, do you think they'll still be there?" Eli asked Holly. "No idea. I don't know if they were trying to scare the people or hunt for slugs, but I'm hoping it isn't the first." She responded. They approached a small town that had a bunch of ice spikes around it. They rode into town and saw tons of tubes littered around, some blue, some red. Holly sighed as she realized there was probably no one left. They walked through the town until a ghoul was suddenly shot at them all. They all hid behind buildings for cover. Holly readied her double barrel and an arachnet and frightgeist hopped in. "We'll hit em with the arachnoshroud." Holly murmured. She dove out from her cover and fired at the enemies. She hit almost all of them, but someone dodged out of the way and fired a ghouled dirt urchin at her. She dodged most the spikes but one hit her in the leg and she cried out in pain as she fell to the ground. Eli used his frostcrawler to create cover and ran out to help her. Everyone else also rushed to her and she waved them away. "I'm okay I'm okay, it's not that bad..." She murmured. "The ice wall is probably gonna be melted-" She was cut off by part of the ice wall melting away from a ghouled flaringo and everyone, except Holly, gasped at who they saw. "The goon is back again!?" Kord yelled. "And he's controlling dad again!" Eli added. Holly didn't know who the goon was, but she knew that it wasn't good that he was here. Everyone had their blasters aimed at the goon but he didn't even react. "If he's here, Blakk probably is too!" Trixie said. "Where's Blakk!?" Eli questioned. The goon let out a sinister laugh. "He's busy with a project." He said. Holly shivered at his voice. Everyone started slinging and Holly went back behind the building. Her arachnet and freightgeist returned to her with little chirps and she smiled. They hopped back into her bag and Holly leaned against the wall, taking a deep breath. Everyone managed to get cover aswell and we're trying to hit the goon. He either dodged or countered every shot with ease and everyone realized they were in over their heads. "Listen, Abyss can stun him and we can all get outta here." Holly said. "But I can barely stand up against the wall, let alone sling a slug, someone else needs to fire him." Eli offered and Abyss hopped over to him. He loaded the glowbyss up and fired it, letting out a bright bioluminescent light. It stunned the goon and everyone rushed to their mechas, with Kord carrying Holly, before hopping on and riding off. Abyss then went back to protoform and hopped away before the goon could recover.

Holly was riding on her mechabeast weirdly as to not hurt her leg more and she sighed. "So, who is the goon and Blakk?" She questioned. Junjie and Eli seemed uneasy at the mention of the goon, but Eli, and the rest of the Shane gang, also seemed uneasy at the mention of Blakk. "The goon is a ghouled boon doc, a goon doc, with some nasty mind controlling powers." Trixie said. "...and he's controlling my dad again..." Eli murmured. "And Blakk is a pretty evil guy, used dark water to ghoul slugs and ended up working with the goon to try and ghoul the elementals." Kord said. Holly shook her head and sighed. "So, two evil bastards basically?" Everyone nodded their heads and Holly felt dread setting in.

Everyone walked in to the cabin and Holly collapsed on the couch. She hadn't taken the spike out yet as to not bleed out and she eyed it. "Damn, it got me good...can someone get a medkit? It should be under the bathroom sink." She called out. Eli went and got the medkit and brought it back to her. She grabbed disinfectant and some gauze out of it and started slowly pulling the spike out of her leg. She winced in pain and held her breath so she'd stay silent. She got it out and sprayed disinfectant on it before wrapping the gauze around her leg. She sighed as she realized she was still in her bloodied gear and limped to her room to change. She changed into pyjamas and walked back to the living room. "There's 4 spare rooms, so either someone sleeps on the couch, or shares a room with someone." She said. She then walked off to her own room, too tired to deal with anything anymore. She collapsed on her bed and Flare chirped with alarm and concern. "I'm okay...just exhausted..." Holly muttered before closing her eyes and passing out.

"Don't worry Holly, I believe in you. Go through the portal, get the Shanes help..."

Holly jolted awake and panicked. She calmed down when she realized she was just in her room and sighed. Flare, who had been sleeping next to her, had been woken up when Holly jolted awake and was concerned for her slinger. Holly glanced at Flare and gave an apologetic glance. "Sorry for wakin you...just had a nightmare..." She murmured. Flare chirped in concern but Holly reassured her she was fine. 'Wait...I never saw mom's body when coming back. I saw the blood in the snow, but her body...it was gone. It was like she was never there.' Holly pondered, and came to a dark conclusion. "The goon said Blakk was working on a project...would it have anything to do with mom's body..?" She muttered. Flare heard this and chirped with sadness. "Sorry Flare, let's just go back to sleep..." Holly said. 'I really hope not...' They both eventually fell asleep and Holly slept uninterrupted for the rest of the night.
