Chapter 3 Tommy's P.O.V

"Tommy, Proctor would like to see you" said my friend, Jake.
"Alright you want to come with me" I said
"Sure but I can only go as far as the entrance to school room" Jake said.
We started walking. "So have you had any dreams lately"
"Yes but I don't want to talk about it" I said
"Actually I wanted you to walk with me so......" I said.
"What tell me" he exclaimed
"Well you know the mark on my shoulder, that looks like four portals with a flower on top. Well it's getting darker on my skin" I said
"Oh......." he said with a thoughtful expression.
"Maybe you could use your art powers in some way" I said
"Yeah Maybe...... he said. I could tell he didn't mean it. He had always thought his art powers were useless, no matter how many times I told him they weren't.
"See you at breakfast." I said while we were standing in front of school room entrance.
"Bye Tommy" he said.

I started walking into school room. "Hello Tommy".
"Hello Proctor. How are you today? I said, knowing he is strict about manners.
"I am doing very well thank you, but enough about me. Tommy, how are you?
"I'm fine Proctor" This is weird he usually is so strict about manners and not rushing through them. This is weird indeed, I thought.
"Are you sure your fine. There is nothing you would like to tell me?" Proctor said.
"N-" I paused. I thought about all my dreams. That woman. No, there is no reason he could know about that. Right? It is my business anyway. Proctor has no right to know.
"No. Nothing" I said with confidence.
"Alright well that would be all. Go get ready for breakfast" he said.
"Yes Proctor" I said.

I walked to 14 to 16 year old cabin. Also known as Cabin 3. Where I live. There is the nursery where 1 day olds to 7 year olds live along with the nurse Madam Rosepetal. There is cabin 1, where 8 to 10 year olds live. Cabin 2, where 11 to 13 year olds live. Cabin 3, where I live is for 14 to 16 year olds. Cabin 4, where 17 and 18 year olds live. Lastly, the Big Cabin where the vice principal, Mr. Fernbush and the principal, Mr. Birktree live and do work. Everyone assumes Proctor lives in school house but who knows. Each cabin has eight students minus the Big Cabin, and the nursery, so in all there are 32 students at Di Natur.

"Hey Jake" I announced. While we were sitting at the Cabin 3 table during breakfast.
"Hey Tommy" he replied glumly
"Are you okay" I said concerned.
"Umm.....y-yeah. I'm fine" he said nervously.
"Jake...." I said with a raised eyebrow.
"Not now okay Tommy. Out of everyone here you should know when a person needs their secrets" he whispered urgently. Oh I knew it and I understood him. I also knew that I wanted to know what was making him uncomfortable, but he was right. I had secrets he deserved secrets too. I wanted to know but I didn't push him anymore.
"Alright" I sighed
"But if whatever is bothering you gets really serious. You need to tell me. Promise me" I said urgently.
"You never told me your secret either" he said mischievously. And with that we were both laughing like seals. The bell rung.
"We better get going" I said still laughing.
"Wait I forgot my book in Cabin 3. I'll meet up with you at school house" Jake exclaimed
"Okay" I said.
Not until after he left, and there was a far distance in between us did I realize, Jake had never promised to tell me his secret.
