Chapter 6 Tommy's P.O.V

When I woke up this morning, I saw Jake looking down on me. He looked worried. "Hey Jake. What's up?" I said groggily.
"What's up, what's up" he said angrily.
"Oh I don't know, it's only that you didn't show up last night for dinner and you weren't in the Cabin. You had Sky and I worried sick to our stomachs. We thought you were going to be expelled from the school or worse" he continued to rant angrily.
"What" I said confused.
Then all of last nights events came crashing down on me. "Oh" I said.
Should I tell Jake? I know I decided to go along with Mr. Birktree and become principal to gain his trust, but Jake is my best friend. I should tell him. Then a thought came to me he never told me his secret. Maybe I shouldn't tell him mine. I should though. He might decide to help me. Before I could make up my mind, my lips started moving without me even realizing what I was saying. Then I started to hear what I was telling him.
I was telling him what Mr. Birktree told me last night. Jake's jaw dropped as I told him this. Oh no, I thought. Why did I tell him? Stupid mouth. What would he do now? "Jake.......?" I said.
He didn't reply. He just stood there. "Jake" I said alarmed.
He shook himself out of it. "Are y-you s-su-re?" He said stuttering.
Oh no. I broke him. "Yes Jake I am positive. He was very clear. All of us we all have parents. I want to pretend to go along with it and become the principal so I can gain his trust. I held off on the defeating him part. Then I can take us all home to our parents and families." I said slowly.
He nodded. Then he said "Okay. I'm in" he said assertively, all the stutter left behind.

Jake's P.O.V
"We have to tell her. Sky was as worried as I was when you went to Mr. Birktree's. She deserves to know" I said to Tommy.
This was our daily argument. Me telling Tommy that Sky should know about our parents, Tommy being principal, and of course the army. I had told Tommy about the army right after he told me why he was sent to Mr. Birktree's office.
It had been two days since the incident. Mr. Birktree hadn't said anything more to Tommy or me. We've had the argument about telling Sky at least five times a day. She had become close to both of us as friends of course. Then Tommy said something unexpected "Alright. We will tell her".
My jaw dropped, I hadn't expected him to give in so easily. I composed myself quickly. This was good he had agreed. "Ok let's go tell her."
Tommy followed me to Cabin 3 and we told her everything.

Sky's P.O.V
"Okay. Well how do you plan to defeat him Tommy. If he is planning to make an army of us, then how will we stop it. Also how are we going to get out of here even if we do defeat him" I said.
"Well Jake and I have been planning and we think we know what to do" Tommy said confidently.
"Really" I said with my eyebrow raised.
"Yeah. We can do this" Jake replied.
"Okay tell me the plan" I announced.
Tommy looked around checking that no one was there. He is so cute. Stop it Sky, you shouldn't be thinking this way. You just found out you had parents and this is what you think of, an immature boy.
I saw Tommy holding a piece of paper out to me. I grabbed it and started reading.
1) Find out who is completely loyal to Mr. Birktree and who isn't
2) Tommy/Jake gain Mr. Birktree's trust by having dinner with him, saying yes to everything no matter how horrible etc.
3) Sky be extra nice to Proctor gain his trust and eventually tell him the plan depending on results
4) Jake start telling students/staff the information
5) Get students and staff on our side to overrun Mr. Birktree
6) Tommy trick Mr. Birktree to staying in his office or any other loyalists. Make sure they are secure and can't get out
7) Jake and Sky gather students/staff in school house and go into the Big Cabin and surround it
8) Not decided yet
9) Take everyone home to their families on boat
10) Burn this after done reading
"Wait. Why is step 8 blank?" I said looking at Tommy.
He looked away from me suddenly quiet. "Well that step is based on the steps leading up to it and how they work out" Jake replied.
