I woke up to someone banging on my bedroom door. I didn't know what time it was, but I quickly threw on some clothes and went to the door. Is Roman back? I quickly unlocked the door, wishing for Roman to be on the other side. I should apologize for what happened. I shouldn't have talked to him like that. Unlocking the door, I faced a very concerned Adrian. I sight in disappointment and open the door all the way.

''Thank God. I thought you were dead. '' Adrian says walking into the room and hugging me. "God, you're such a heavy sleeper." He says hugging me tighter. Yeah, sure, don't get me started on how many sleeping pills I have to take.

"Adrian, my back," I say with a small hiss.

''Oh, I'm sorry, I totally forgot." He says, taking a step back. "Are you okay? I called Roman this morning, and he didn't answer his phone. I thought something happened to you, I searched for you at school yesterday, but I couldn't find either of you," he says with a worried face. I looked at him and just took a deep breath.

''I am fine. It was nothing." I say trying to force a smile on my face. "How did you get in?" I say trying to change the subject.

"Well, I have my ways," he says, shrugging. Ok, this is a little scary. I pulled my eyebrows together and looked at him with a confused face. ''Now. What's wrong? You look like hell."

"It's nothing," I say, waving it off. To be honest, I was a bit worried about Roman. Adrian couldn't reach out to him. What if something bad happened to him? What if he is in danger? Is he going to be okay? I shouldn't have talked to him that way. He took care of me and got me into his house. God, I am such a bad human being.

''Hey, hey, hey. You know you can talk to me. Right?" He asks, using his hands to lift my head. I tried to hold back my tears, but I couldn't. Thoughts of Roman being in trouble run wild in my head. My eyes felt like they were on fire, so I just let them out. He took me into his arms, and we both sat on my bed. "Ivy, I can see that something is bothering you."

"It's just that..." "I think I've made a big mistake," I say, sobbing. My heart feels so heavy, and I don't think I can bear it.

''You can talk I will be here, and I won't judge." ''I promise, so go on.'' "Talk," he says, taking my hand in his.

"Roman and I got into a fight. If I can call it that.'' I say sniffling and wiping away some tears.

"Tell me what happened," he says in a quiet voice, his eyes focused on me.

"Well, I was at the cafeteria with Anya." ''It's a girl I met weeks ago." "Somehow, while she was trying to get me off the table so her brother wouldn't see me, my back wound started to bleed."

''Why was she trying to get you away?'' he says, his brows drawn together in a confused face.

''I still have no idea. Her brother sounded nice, but her hand began to shake with fear when she knew he was coming. It was somehow suspicious, but I didn't have the chance to ask her why she was so afraid."
