Pov:

'How come this always happens to me' Takemichi thought to himself as he got into a fighting position.

Earlier that day Takemichi decided to skip school, he didn't feel like showing up and explaining to his teachers why he was absent for three days. It was quiet that evening, it was a Monday so it's not a surprise that there are no kids around playing in the streets. usually, it would be pretty lively, Takemichi found it relaxing to hear the laughs and playful screams of the children that ran up and down the neighborhood. But now it was only him, walking with his head down as he kicked a specific stone repeatedly. He had already zoned out, his head was filled with nothing, and he could only keep his attention on the round stone that he challenged himself not to kick into the road. He would usually spend this kind of free time in his house, but he felt as though he should get some fresh air for once and take a walk outside, or should I say limp.

Takemichi's leg wasn't fully healed. That was actually the real reason why he didn't show up at school. He had not told anyone what had happened, the only person who Know's is Sanzu, and he had promised not to say anything about it. Somehow, he was able to shake off his worried friends after giving the excuse that he was 'just sick' and 'needed a break'. He had wished that he could have told them, but Tatsuki had warned him not to without explaining why he shouldn't. But it doesn't matter anymore, and he decided to move on.

It was peaceful the wind was just the right temperature, and the sun wasn't too bright, almost the perfect weather. But of course, it couldn't be this peaceful without something happening. The boy who was kicking a rock not too long ago now found himself in front of another boy who was being picked on by a couple of older kids. Honestly speaking Takemichi didn't even know how he found himself in this situation. He didn't even remember walking into an alleyway, let alone picking a fight with some kids that he didn't know.

"Look, I really don't want to fight right now, do you think we could just forget this interaction and go our separate ways?" Takemichi says as he looks up at the older kids. Of course, they didn't listen and the biggest one was about to throw a punch until one of the other kids suddenly stopped him. "DUDE, ISN'T HE THE ONE WHO BEAT UP THE HIGH SCHOOLERS!?!" The kid said while sweating bullets. 'Huh, high schoolers? does he mean the people me and the others beat up as a bet for ice cream' Takemichi asked himself. Takemichi was relieved to see the bullies run away, he was ready to take the hits, but it was still kind of worrying to think about what would happen if they didn't leave.

Takemichi let out a sigh as he was about to leave the alleyway, but was stopped when the kid from before tugged on the back of his shirt. "Huh?" Takemichi turned around to face the kid who had his head down, his hand released itself from Takemichi shirt as he leaned down to pick up his books that fell on the ground. 'He looks familiar' Takemichi thought as the kid stood up straight and fixed his glasses. "I appreciate the help, my name is Kisaki, if there's anything I could do to repay you, then please name it," the kid says giving a shallow bow.

"Did you just say your name was Kisaki?"

Flashbacks of all the deaths of his closest friends went through his mind. Kisaki, Kisaki was one of the biggest contributors to his suffering. He spent days without sleep because of this man, and now his younger self stood before him asking if there was any way to repay him for scaring a couple of bullies away. 'Oh how fun this will be'.

'how fun'
