matt's pov  ——

i couldnt stop starring at my phone

why can't i look away

i cant like her

but this post she just looks so beautiful...

no! i cant like her i cant let her know

i finally take my eyes away and look at nick

"you right there?" he asks

"yes im fine" i say getting up and walking away from him

kats pov —-

i dont know why but as i was watching tv with chris with his arm around me i couldnt help but think that it was matt's

so i looked at him every now and then to make sure it was chris

matt was all i could think about though

and i dont know why

why was i think about if all of a sudden

why now was i thinking differently about him

it was about 10am when i woke up in matt's room and it's currently 1pm

nick came into chris' room and told us to come to the kitchen to film a video

we got down there and matt and nick were waiting nick had the biggest grin on his face

"guess what we're filming kat" he asks

"umm a baking video" i reply confused seeing baking things in the table

"yes but theres a twist... drumroll please..... you'll be blindfolded!!" he cheers

"no" is all i reply with

"come on pleaseeeeee it'll be fun" he whines

"ugh okay but you have to help me at least no pushing me over and shit" i say

"ok fine" he says but with a smile on his face so im assuming he wasn't gonna help

— time skip to the middle of the video —

"CHRIS!! I can feel you throwing flour on me" i yell

he starts laughing and i walk in the direction of his laugh with a fistful of flour

i throw it infront of me and hope it hits him

"KAT!! i swear to god im gonna kill you"

i feel a pair or arms warp around my waist and pick me up

"OMG CHRIS PUT ME DOWN I CANT SEE" i yell panicked

i feel him let go and my heart drops but i land on cushion

i take my blindfold off and see him standing abouve me

"chris oh my fucking god you're getting you're ass beat" i stand up from the couch and start chasing him

he starts running and he's much faster i chase him around the kitchen table but since i've got socks on i slip on flour on the ground and fall

"Oh my god!" nick rushes over to me

chris turns around "Kat!!"

i fell face first so my stomach is on the floor i turn to put my back on the ground and touch my forehead to see red on my hands

"oh my god you're bleeding" matt says running out of the room

i close my eyes

matt's pov —

i was running to go get a fist aid kit for kat i was trying to be mad at her and ignore her but i couldn't help it my heart dropped when i saw her on the floor im still not sure why i care but i do

i go into the bathroom and grab it from the counter and rush back

i sit down on the floor next to her and get a cloth out the wash her face but i realise she's passed out

"she could have a concussion we need to keep her awake" i tell them

"she's not waking up!" nick says stressed

"we have to go to the hospital" i say

— time skip to the hospital —

kats pov —-

i open my eyes and everything comes back to me

where am i?

"you're in the hospital" a voice says next to me

"chri-" i start but get interrupted

"you have a concussion it's best to not speak" the voice tells me

matt's pov —

i see her waking up and i sign of relief that she's okay

i'm not heartless i just want her to not die you know? i definitely don't have a crush on her

"you're in the hospital" i say

"chri-" she starts but i interrupt her i dont want her think it's me

"you have a concussion it's best to not speak" i say

"am i gonna be okay?" she asks

"yes. is all i say

"can you please come here" she asks

i get up and walk to the bed

she takes my hand

i feel warm inside

"thank you for taking care of me, i love you chris" she says

that last word hurt.  chris of course it's chris

she takes her hand of mine and puts it on my back bringing me closer in for a hug

it was nice

why did i enjoy it?

what's wrong with me

why do i care so much about her

i cant be

i do though

i like kat?

as soon as i thought it i knew it was true

"go back to sleep" i say pulling out of the hug and i exit the room

chris and nick were sleeping on the chairs outside they didn't know i went into her room

i shake them awake

"guys wake up" i say

"ughh what matt" chris shins opening his eyes

"i have a problem" i tell them

nicks eyes widen

"i think.... i like someone" i say

"ooo who" chris asks

"ok.. why's that a problem" nick chimes in

"because she hates me" i say

it takes them a second to process

"you dont" chris says his mouth wide open

"oh my god. you like kat!" nick says exited

"shut up!" i whisper yell

"she can't know" i say

"why not?" nick asks

"did you not hear what i said she hates me?." i say

"you dont know that, i see the way she looks at you and it's not hatred" nick says

"what really" i ask getting my hopes up

"yeah go in there and talk to her i bet she won't be mad if you're nice" chris says
