The lives inside French Court ( A Reign Fanfiction)

Chapter 1: Mary's Arrival

Mary POV

I have lived my entire life as a queen in a country that I didn't reign. I lived in a convent waiting for the moment to leave and marry the king of France. Today is that day, after an assassination attempt on my life during breakfast I was whisked away in a carriage. Now I'm on the way to French court to meet my husband.

Francis POV

I cannot believe that I will see Mary for the first time in years. I will soon be king with this union not only to France but king consort of Scotland as well. I ran up the stairs to the room where my parents were being fit for my sister's wedding to the prince of Spain. " oh good you finally showed up which means I can go ! See you later " Bash my half brother tells me. " lucky bastard" I say under my breath but he still heard me. The term bastard is bad because it means illegitimate , a child born outside of a marriage. It is never good especially in royal standing . You get limited access to anything and only share a bloodline with totality nothing else. I then reach the doorway and see my parents. " mother and father , nice to see you." I bow in front of them. " Mary is coming Francis . You better be ready." My father king Henry told me. " " I have been ready for a while, have you decided my wedding day as well" I say and my mother Queen Catherine gives me a look. " you will not get married until I approve " she whispers into my ear and I walk away. Soon the trumpets sound, signaling that Mary is close, she will be here soon. Time to be apart of the royal assembly line. Me, mother,father, Diane the mistress and Bash.

Mary POV

I enter the grounds of French court and are reminded about the months I spent here as a child. I will also see my friends, my ladies. They are waiting for me . Kenna, Grier and Lola, each special in their own way. Soon the carriage stops saying that I'm here and I'm home. I step out the carriage and see my friends and run and hug them. I love them and missed them. "Mary, we all missed you" Lola says me and it makes me smile. I turn and see the people who will be my new family. " is that Francis, he is hot " pointing out the boy with brown hair. " no it's not him" I say remembering a different hair color. Soon another teenaged boy comes close." That is Francis," I say with a big smile as he walks up to me. "Hello Mary, nice to see you again " Francis says to me as he bows in front of me. " nice to see you as well Francis." I say and we turn and walk up the courtyard doors to the place.

Lola POV

Francis and Mary are so cute together. They will rule the throne for a longtime to come. Now I must prepare my lady for a formal event coming up tonight to celebrate Mary's arrival.

Francis POV

I know that I have to love Mary for my country, but another girl has caught my eye. I could act upon my emotions, because it will not effect me. But it could ruin my impending marriage. If I make this declaration , Mary could leave me and return to Scotland. I am a royal , we do not marry for love. We marry for a business deal, a alliance between countries. As I walk up the steps to the place door with Mary, it becomes clear that we will do great things.

Mary POV

I know that I can never go back home again. This is the place where I will live out my days as queen as well have heirs. "These are going to be your sleeping chambers, until you are married of course" a servant tells me. I can't believe my life, I now live in this beautiful palace and will marry the most important man in French Court. "Now girls. we need to prepare for tonight. I brought some dresses one for each of you. We all need to look our best for our first event at court. " I say and open the trunk filled with my dresses. " Mary, these are amazing. You didn't have to do this for us . We all brought our own dresses to wear at court." Grier told me as she grabbed a dress. " You guys will be here forever now, as one of my ladies. I will help you achieve status here. Having you end up with Lords or higher in status." I tell them as we all get ready, I am ready to get to know Francis and have our relationship grow even more.

Francis POV

I arrived back at my chambers to get ready for the evenings events. I hope Mary and her Ladies come to the party. I know that I will be married to Mary but I can't help but think if I could marry someone else what would happen. As I finish changing into my evening outfit their is a knock at the door. I know that it can not be a guard but rather my mother Queen Catherine. "Mother, what are you going here." I say as I put my crown on. " I am here to tell you that you need to stop thinking of other girls like Mary's Ladies and marry Mary. She is a good girl, and will raise your standing as King. She will help you achieve England as well." my mother says as she places her hand on my arm. " I know mother, but what if Mary does not love me?" I ask. " Francis, Love means nothing for royalty. Your union with Mary is an alliance between France and Scotland. It means that we will be connected together forever. Also , once you are married an heir will strengthen Mary's reign in Scotland ,France, and will give you an advantage for England." My Mother tells me and it makes me nervous. Now it is time to head to the ball room to welcome Mary and her Ladies to French court, a moment that will be remembered forever.

Mary POV

I am finally dressed and ready to go and head to the ball room. My ladies are ready as well. " Mary, you look amazing , Francis may not want to keep his hands off you." Kenna tells me and I smile. I will make my grand entrance to French court in style . The door to my chambers opens and we all head down the hall to the closed door to the ball room. I take a breath and the doors open, the next thing that I see is a crowd of people and the music that is playing stops. " Our honoured guest, Mary Queen of Scots and her Ladies in waiting" The voice tells the crowd and I walk into the room. Across the room I see Francis and we lock eyes .

Francis POV

Wow she looks beautiful, I know that I can't hide my emotions.. maybe I can. I will be king , that what we do.

Hi guys , I hope you liked the first chapter of the lives inside French court. It is sort of based on Reign the TV shows on CW and CTV but their is a few twists and turns ahead. It is one of my new favourite shows and thought a fanficiton would be good.
