Chapter 8: New Couple At Court

Francis POV

It has been a a few days since the wedding so Mary and Bash have left on their wedding tour. Me and Lola have been discreet but soon there will be whispers about us. If the secret comes out while they are away maybe it will be less harsh. I believe that Lola will want to tell soon and we can be free. " Lola, I think that we should come out and tell everyone. "Hasn't Kenna or Grier figured it out yet? We have been together for weeks , and we haven't been so discreet. I have visited your chambers a few times. More frequently then what could be expected.Why don't we tell my mother, she maybe angry but we can leave any time. We both have deep pockets and can do whatever we want." I tell her as we meet int eh hall. " Alright, but we have to be careful about who we tell until we are ready. Maybe a few people everyday. Today , your mother, Kenna, Grier . Tomorrow others." Lola tells me and I agree. So we head to my Mothers quarters to tell her. " Mother, I have to tell you something. I have started a new courtship." I tell her. " With who? I hope not someone in the kitchen." My Mother tells me . " No mother, it is not someone in the kitchen. It is Lola, Mary's Lady. I know that it is not who you invasion for me. But I love her and if you can't handle it we can go before Mary comes back." I tell her and she doesn't react how i think. She is actually ok with my choice. "Francis, you are my son. Since you are not going to be King anymore I cannot choose who you are courtship with or not. Besides Lola is a lovely girl. I cannot wait for her to be my daughter in law." Queen Catherine tells me. " Lola, you maybe come in. Everything is fine. So , when do you two want to get married?' Mother asks. " Well, we have to tell Mary first, so once she gets back."Lola says and I agree and take her arm. " Now go, have fun. If I am going to be a grandmother then get married quickly." Catherine says as we walk out. " Time to go tell Kenna and Grier. I will tell them and you can come in after if you wish. " Lola tells me and we walked to my Chambers and invite Kenna and Grier.

Lola POV

We have made it over a big hurdle with telling Catherine but now we have to tell Kenna and Grier. " Time to tell go and tell Kenna and Grier." I say as we walk down the hall. " I will go and meet with some people. If you need me send word." Francis says , kisses me and walks away. I love him so much. I then head to my chambers and wait for Kenna and Grier. " Lady Lola, Lady Kenna and Lady Grier are here." A servant tells me through the door. " Send them in. " I tell her. They then walk in and I'm sitting on me bed. " Lola, why do you want to see us?" Kenna asks me. " I have to tell you something. It will change everything between us and Mary. I have started a courtship." I tell them. " With who, someone important? Lord Phillip?" Grier asks. " No, it is Francis" I tell them with closing my eyes tightly not knowing what could possibly happen. " Oh , that it is unexpected. When did it start?" Kenna asks me. " It started for me when we learned that Mary wasn't going to marry Francis. I had realized that I had fallen for him. I knew that it might never happen but it did. For Francis, he said when he first saw me that he loved me. He said he knew that he had to love Mary but in his heart he fell for me." I told them. " Wow Lola, that is crazy. So are you and Francis together? Grier questioned. " I am getting to that. When I arrived to the gentlemans establishment in Paris, I never expected thst I would meet Francis. He paid for my brothers debt and saved me from being used as the new worker. He then took me to a privstebroommwhere we were going to soendnthe evening until we could ride out in the morning. We drank alot of wine and then feel asleep. The next day we woke up, he had his ark around me. He told me that he loved me. Then one thing lead to anither and we are here. Back in the castle, Mary and Bash are away and we can be free. I have never felt so happy to be with someone in life. He makes me so happy, I hope that I make him happy as well. " I tell them and the hug me. I then hear the door open and it is Francis. He closes the door and I het up and hug him. " so they know now?" Francis asks. " Yes we do , congratualtions to you . May you be happy. So when is the wedding?" Kenna asks. " Soon hopefully, so we can be together and not hide. Lola wants to tell Mary in person. But if something happens we will have to get married earlier." Francis says. "Something like what? A baby prehaps?" Grier asks and I go bright red. " yes, maybe something like that ." I say. " You are not are you?" Francis asks. " I do not know yet, but it is a possiblity." I say. " Well, we might as well leave . See you soon. " Kenna says and she and Grier leave. We follow not to far behind. I feel like that is the right thing. To tell people this secret, because we will be together walking around the castle together. I just don't know how Mary is going to react. I hope she isn't going to be mad. She shouldn't she is married to Bash. "Well, we might as well make sure you are pregnant. " Francis says as he starts to kiss my neck as closes the door shut, locking it from the inside. I want a child with him, we love each other so much. This child would get us married quicker an opportunity to show that I can be more then a lady in waiting. Francis stands behind me as he takes off my shawl and starts to untie my corset all the ribbons falling down. All the while kissing the back of my neck, just like the way he did in Paris. Oh how do I wish that we could go back. Be alone and have no worries. As soon as Francis has finished with my corset, I take off his shirt revealing his bare chest. I then start to kiss him, wondering if I will get pregnant tonight. Francis then lifts me up and I wrap my legs around his waist as he carries me over to my bed. This fleeting moment is just between us. No one has to know what happens here tonight.
