Chapter 3: Change in Plans

Mary POV

I had my first sleep in my chambers last night , it was great and that my life here is forever. I now have to figure out if I can marry another and save Francis from his emending death after we wed. I change into my royal attire and met my ladies in my chambers. " Mary, how are you this morning?' kenna asks me and I smile while trying to hide my true feelings about the events that I learned from last night. Finding out that I will cause my future husbands death after marrying him is not the best thing. I know that the only way I can save him is to marry his brother Bash. It is the only way to save him and save myself and France from losing everything. I have to alert the king about this because they want me to marry Francis when I have to marry Bash. " I have to go see King Henry today , I will meet you later?" I say as I get up and walk out of my chambers. I soon reach the throne room where I see king Henry and Queen Catherine sitting on their thrones . " You heiresses , I would like to speak with you in private." I say as a bow in front of them. " Yes Mary, what would you like to talk about?" King Henry asks me. " I can not marry francis in the light of recent information that I have received. I need to marry another son, Bash." I say and they look at me confused. " I have been told that my union with your son Francis will cost him his life and I would like to save him and marry another son so the arrangement can be still be intact. " I tell them and they are shocked . "Alright , we need Francis and Bash to come forward, this also changes the line of succession ,the vatican needs to be notified and a wedding needs to happen. Servants, send for Francis and Bash at once we need them to be here and close the door behind you!" King Henry yells. I have truly messed everything up but if I can save Francis , marrying Bash isn't to bad. He is very hot and will be a good husband.

Francis POV

Myself and Bash have been called to the throne room. I wonder why hopefully it is for a good reason . Maybe they have decided a wedding day and Bash needs to be there? Who knows as long as I can see Mary again. " Father we are here to see you." Bash says as we both walk into the throne room and bow for them. " Bash , Francis we have brought you here because of something that has changed everything. Your mother and mary have confided in someone who has told them that you Francis will die if you wed Mary . So because I want you to live and be my son forever. Mary will wed Bash to save you and keep the agreement in line to happen." My father says and it shocks me . The person who I was meant to marry since I was six is now going to marry my brother, because of some stupid vision of me dying after our wedding. This is crazy , I can't believe it. " Mary , please why did you tell them? We could have been happy together and lived our lives together . This changes everything, my brothers will never be king." I plead for an answer but she doesn't respond. " We have to wait for the vatican to approve of these changes , once it is approved you will wed that day. Mary and Bash you are free to go, Francis stay here please. " My mother tells us and I stay behind as my bride and brother walk out of the room together. " Francis, I know this is a lot to deal with on short notice. You would have been an amazing ruler but because of your supposed destiny I could let you marry her and lose your life. At least if Bash dies there is a possibility of a change again unless they have an heir which will change everything. But as you are now relieved of your Royal duties you can be live Bash have a small title and the benefits of Royality. " My father tells me, so because of his news I run out the room and catch up with Mary and Bash who are not far ahead. " Mary, why did you do this ? we could have been happy together. Now you have to marry my brother. I don't know if this can ever recover our relationship. Now Bash I have your freedom to do whatever I please. I will see you soon, I am going on a trip." I say to them and leave them to their newly engaged bliss. I reach my chambers and start pack my things. I think my first stop is Paris, beucase it is close and I can head to any other country afterwards.

Mary POV

So Bash and I are suppose to be a couple. King Henry took the idea better than I expected. I know have to go talk to my ladies about this whole shift in arrangement. " I will see you later, once the news breaks." I tell Bash before we separate. As I reach around the corner I see Kenna , Lola and Grier sitting on the window cil. " Girls, I have to speak with you about something that has changed. " I tell them and they follow me back to my chambers and sit on my bed. " I have to tell you something and it is going to change everything. I am not going to be marrying Francis anymore. I am going to wed Bash, by order of the King." I tell them and their faces fall. " What? Why?" they all ask me at once. " Queen Catherine claims that her friend saw that my union with Francis would result in his death. To save him they decided that I should marry Bash to save Francis and the throne. This changes everything and I need to know that you will stand by me no matter the consequences." I ask of them and the agree. " You are our queen we have to listen to you and whatever you need." Kenna says and it makes me feel better. A servant knocks at the door, " Your Majesty , sorry to bother you but i have a letter for Lady Lola. " The servant says and passes the letter to her. " It is a letter from my brother, I have to go to Paris and bail him out of a situation. Mary is it ok if i leave, I will be back in 3 days time." Lola asks me and I nod." Lola , you work for me but family comes first go to your brother and help him. I will be waiting for your return." I tell her and she gets up and heads out the door. " So, has Catherine decided on any wedding plans for you and Bash since she is in charge of the wedding?" Grier asks me " Most likely, she is probably gathering everyone and making sure everything is in order for when we do get married. I think that we are going to get married in a week or so. It is going to be interesting .
