The clock on the wall at Hawkins pool ticked far too slowly for your liking. It was almost time for Billy's shift and you'd planned to surprise him at work ready for when he started since you got a day off from your job at Gap; one of the clothing stores in Starcourt. Your mom was coming with Holly anyway, so you tagged along after frantically grabbing whatever swimsuit you could.
It was a deep navy one-piece that was respectable enough for a family pool whilst still looking super hot on you.
The door to the staff area opens and out he comes, red shorts beaming like an alert for his arrival. He was wearing his signature aviators, a cigarette perched between his fingertips that no doubt was there to soothe his annoyance at how many kids were here today.
It wasn't just your eyes on him though. Billy knew he was hot, he loved the attention he got from everyone because of it, and you didn't care since he was with you and not the hoards of women sweating over his horrendously good looks.
He was barely looking at them as his eyes seem to settle on where you stood next to the lifeguard tower. You'd been talking to Heather until he showed up and she steps down to finish her shift, giving you a quick wave before heading inside. You liked Heather. She was nice and always willing to talk to you when you came by.
Billy stops in his tracks as a kid runs around the outside of the pool, the whistle around his neck being propped between those delectable lips as he blows it to stop everyone. "Hey! No running on my watch!" He points an accusatory finger, voice a dangerous warning as he spoke. "I gotta warn you again and you're banned for life. You wanna be banned for life?" The boy in question shakes his head and Billy mutters a quick 'didn't think so' before blowing his whistle again to let everyone know they could carry on.
He continues his walk around the pool to you, tongue darting out over his lips as he checks you out behind his aviators. "Really crackin' the whip there, huh?" You tease as he closes in on you, his hand dipping under your arm to press against the small of your back and bring you against him.
"Well, you know.. It's a hard job but somebody's gotta do it." He sighs overdramatically, feigning the hardship he was professing which only makes you elicit a laugh as your hands flatten against his chest, feeling the warm skin tingle beneath your touch. "You're good at hard jobs, so I don't see it being too difficult."
He chokes on his laughter, not expecting your innuendo though he silences himself by pressing a kiss to your temple. "Speaking of hard jobs..." The innuendos continue, apparently, "You gotta get out of here lookin' like that. Making it hard to concentrate and if somebody drowns 'cause I'm too busy thinking about railing you in the changing rooms, well.. You'll be the one to blame."
An interesting idea, that was for sure, but not why you were here. "Relax, stud, I just came to say hi."
He releases you from his hold, though the lascivious smirk on his lips doesn't shift, eluding to some mystery idea that had just light-bulbed in his mind. "I wanna take you out tonight. After work."
"He's hot, funny and treats me right? Did you fly straight off the pages of an erotic novel, or...?"
"Shut up." He chides, silencing you with a brief kiss. "I'll swing by at eight."
"Sounds perfect."
"Because it is. Now go on, get out of here before I make my wish come true and end up jobless and in jail for indecent exposure before we can even say 'California'."
-----------------------------------------------
"You look beautiful, just hurry the fuck up." Billy was trying to placate you, showering compliments in hopes you'd finish getting ready for your date already. You wave a hand at him in passing as you fasten some earrings into your lobes, tucking your now bob-length hair behind your ears to stop it from falling into your face as you pull on your boots.
