Espresso had another sleepless night as he stayed up. He was trying to figure out why Knight was trying to frame Lilac. And K Cookie... who is that? Probably Knight himself. Why the hell is he so hesitant to say who the mastermind is?! It's not difficult! Wouldn't he want everyone to live?!
...
Wait, was that a knock at the door?
Espresso got up and opened the door. It was Parfait.
"Heya Essy! How are you?"
"... Good morning, Parfait Cookie. I'm okay. Why are you here?"
"I wanna go on a walk with one of my friends but Mint is busy and Raspberry is still asleep. So wanna go on a walk?"
"... Parfait, not to be rude but... we aren't really friends."
"Oh, we aren't?"
"Nope."
"That's why we're going on this trip! Come on!" She smiled, dragging him out and closing his door. He sighed and went along with it. He didn't want to, but he couldn't be bothered talking. She eventually led him to the garden.
"Parfait... Why are we here? You didn't quite tell me why you suddenly wanted to be my friend-" Just then, Parfait stabbed Espresso in the chest. He stumbled back, gripping the wound. Looking up at her, she had dull eyes. Like she had lost all hope in anything. She smiled a bit.
"Don't be sad, Espresso! If you think about it, I'm saving you! I mean, it hurts now, but it won't later!" She kicked his ribs and he fell back. Blood pooled around him. She leaned over him, staring into his eyes. Her eyes were so bubbly, yet insane.
"Bye bye!~"
...SIKE YOU THOUGHT
She looked around and sniffed.
"Okay, so I assume Lilac isn't here. Thank god. I'm not ready to show him this, especially not whilst Knight is going crazy."
"Show him what?" She gave him a weird device. It was a small metal cuboid with a button on it.
"I found it whilst wondering, so I think it's probably lost. It seems like it's the masterminds."
"... well now you're kind of suspicious."
"Hardly! I just found it, alright? And remember, I'm not suspicious when you compare me to Knight and Lilac!"
"... What is up with them anyway?"
"I dunno, Knight was trying to tell me that it's Lilac. He's going crazy, I swear!"
"Crazy? How so?"
"He's trying to push all blame onto Lilac. Like, tell me a guy who isn't the mastermind would do that!"
"I mean, fair point. But although his behaviour is concerning, I do believe it's too early to make assumptions."
"Well we better think fast, someone could die tomorrow."
"Don't be so pessimistic, Parfait!" Said a voice.
... It was Knight.
"Ohh... hey Knight." She sighed.
"What are you doing out here?" Asked Espresso.
"I'm looking for a little silver box with a button on it. Have you seen one?"
"... No. What does it do?"
"It's my tv remote. Press it and a different channel plays."
"Oh, really? You sure it doesn't give you information to frame Lilac with?" Asked Parfait.
"No! He's suspicious enough, even Latte doesn't trust him!"
"And Latte's losing her mind. You didn't manipulate her, did you?" Asked Espresso.
"No, she believed me. Now do you have it or not?!"
"No." Knight looked frustrated, inhaled, and then smiled.
"Then have a good day!" He cheered, walking away.
"Hmm... New information. We should be careful with this." Espresso sighed.
"Oh my god, this is so frustrating! He can't just go around accusing and manipulating! We need to stop him!" She yelled. He covered her mouth.
"Shh! Don't just yell so loudly! He could be listening to us!" Parfait walked over to a nearby tile (they were in the indoor garden) and picked it up. It was heavy.
"Well I have a plan, but you won't approve like the perfectionist you are. It will either be too messy or flawed!"
"What?"
"We knock him out and lock him in a room with Lilac!"
"No! Absolutely not!"
"I'm going to do it, like it or not!"
"Parfait no!"
"I just wanna see what happens!"
"If you do it you'll regret it!" She ignored him and left the garden. She shortly came back with Knight.
"So what did you want to talk about-" She cut him off by smacking the tile off his head. He blacked out, some jam leaving his head.
"What the fuck are you doing?!" Espresso scolded. Parfait threw the tile backwards and felt his wrist. Her heart stopped.
"O-Oh my god, I hit him too hard!"
"What do we do now?!"
"Get a bin bag!"
"Why?!"
"Just do it! There's some in the kitchen!" Espresso went to the kitchen and grabbed one. Then paused when he noticed Latte in the kitchen.
"Oh- Hey Latte!" She didn't look at him, just sat there in sadness.
"Hey Espresso."
"Are you okay?"
"... Mhm." Espresso left her alone and ran back to the garden. Parfait hid Knight's (hopefully) unconscious body into the bag then picked him up. Espresso helped her because she was struggling. The two ran to a spare room and locked the door. Then they let him out. He was still unconscious.
"You're a fucking idiot! Why did you think this was a good idea?!" Espresso scolded.
"I-I don't know! Now stop yelling and help me check his pulse properly!"
"Forget this, I'm out! I had no part in this!"
"Fine!" He left the room in a panicked huff. He made his way back to his room but encountered Jellykuma.
"Ugh, what do you want?"
"Hey, I'm looking for some cookies!"
"Who?"
"Knight and Parfait, I can't find them on my cameras!"
"Oh, Parfait knocked him out. She's in that room there."
"Woah, why?!"
"She didn't mean to hit him too hard. And now I'm leaving."
"Are you sure she wasn't doing... something more exciting?"
"Go to hell, she accidentally hit him too hard!"
"Jeez! Someone's mad!"
"Everyone should be mad! We get kidnapped, are forced to kill each other, can't even touch real grass until the moron behind this dies and you expect us to be happy?!"
"That's the art of a killing game. There's always a sick fuck that enjoys it." Jellykuma walked away, and Espresso went back to his room. He hadn't felt so disgusted in his life. But... thinking realistically... how long will it take until the next murder? What if Espresso is next?...
"That won't happen! Get ahold of yourself!" He muttered, pulling out his book. He read for a couple hours until an announcement came on.
"Hey everybody! If you're still alive and don't want to kill anyone, come to the gymnasium! I got something great to show ya!"
Espresso walked down to the gym and eventually everyone arrived. Parfait was there, but Knight wasn't.
"Don't worry about Knight, he's okay! Now then, I'd like to point out kindly that you guys aren't very murdery. That's so annoying, just kill someone damn it!"
"Never. And nothing you say can make us." They all said.
"... Hahaha! You sure about that? Cus I got a motive for ya!"
(A screen appeared, showing a lot of cookies tied to chairs with collars.)
"These are some of your friends and family!"
"WAIT! LEAVE THEM ALONE!" Yelled Mint.
"Oh my god Jellykuma STOP!" Cried Raspberry.
"This is all a game of Russian Roulette! For every day that someone hasn't died, someone's collar explodes! You don't want them to die? Then go spill some jam! I'm sure Mint, Raspberry, Blackberry, Latte, Tiger Lily and Princess may recognise some of these guys!"
"COCOA!"
"LEAVE RASPBERRY MOUSSE OUT OF THIS!"
"DON'T HURT ONION!"
"Almond..."
"... Huh? I don't know them."
"HOLLYBERRY! NO!"
"See? This is what happens when I get impatient. NOW HURRY UP AND MURDER!" Yelled Jellykuma, disappearing. Some of the cookies were already crying, others searching for people they cared about. Sure enough, everyone had a person they cared about. Except for the confused Tiger Lily. Espresso realised that he was supposed to kill to save Madeleine. But... he didn't want to. He was still worried for his safety but... it's not worth killing someone.
(Sorry Espresseleine shippers I don't ship it :((
Espresso went back to his room and locked the door, making sure nobody could get in. He saw the desperation of the others, no way they were taking him down!
"Goodness, this sucks." He muttered, reading his book again. He stayed up reading it. Every page. And when he finished he started again.
...
Unaware of what was happening.
(SURPRISE! I MADE THIS CHAPTER EXTRA LONG! And I bet you thought Espresso was gonna die. Sorry lol, wanted a joke ending somewhere ;))
