"Well, well, well. What do we have here?" A voice came up from behind me before an elbow was leaning against the table next to my open textbook.

  "I'm studying."

  "Nerd."

  "Stoner."

"Who's the new chick?" Riven asked while looking over at the woman sorting herbs at another table.

  "Terra's cousin, Flora."

"No shit?" He then looked at me with furrowed brows.

"No shit. She's pretty nice so far. I'm also beginning to think 'nice' just runs in the family."

  "Mm. Maybe."

"So, what brings you to the greenhouse anyhow?"

"Brought in a Specialist to get her hand doctored." Riven jerked his chin up to gesture at the woman Terra was sitting next to while wrapping her hand in a bandage.

"I'm surprised you haven't ended up in there yet. Then again, you've got a fairly thick skull."

"Oh, who's the bully now, huh?" Riven smirked as he crossed his arms on the table.

"Just a light tease, you'll be fine. But on a more serious note, you really should put more effort into your schoolwork outside of training. You're smart, Riven. That's not a bad thing."

"Are you gonna lecture me on not meeting my academic potential now?"

"No, of course not. I'd just prefer you not having your free time taken up by redoing classes or doing catch-up."

"Why? Do you want me to spend my free time with you instead?" Riven was smiling as he leaned in closer.

  "I wouldn't mind it."

  "Wouldn't mind it, huh?"

"Well, you'd have time to take me on a date if you weren't too busy with schoolwork."

"A date?" His eyebrows rose, but he didn't seem opposed to the idea. "An introvert like you on a date? I'm not so sure."

"Why? Got a problem with going on a date with an introvert?" I replied while running my fingers through his hair. "It can be you, me, and some popcorn cuddled up with a movie for all I care."

"You are pretty persuasive." Riven said as he leaned his face in closer. His nose brushed against mine as he smiled, and his gaze dropped.

"This goes straight to the Bastion. We won't get a write-up from Rosalind because of you." Terra slid a case between Riven and I, and Riven had to physically back up. "Really? PDA in the greenhouse now?" She looked at us with her eyebrows raised.

"Don't tell me you're gonna try and cockblock now." Riven popped off while taking the case.

"I just don't want my cousin getting uncomfortable because of you two making out right behind her. Also, when did you two start being comfortable being all couple-y in public?" Terra's nose slightly scrunched up as she looked rather amused.

"Maybe I'm markin' territory with all these newbies around."

  "'Marking territory'? Please." I scoffed.

"What? You're a smoke show, and you know it." Riven grinned while looking at me before sighing. "Too bad Cockblocker has given me chores." He then pat the black case while backing away from the table.

  "I'm not-"

"Bye-bye!" Riven cut Terra off as he left.

"I am not a-a cockblocker." Terra muttered.
