Last day in Busan with Jungkook, Jin had never felt this happy before. Sleeping in someone's warm embrace, opening his eyes without fear of being left alone, because there's always Jungkook's face in every he open his eyes. The hand never let go of Jin's body in the slightest. Jin is treated special.
Jungkook had to go back to America today, he was dressed in all black and was so secretive it was hard to spot, he took Jin with him to the airport.
"Are you sure you don't want to come with me?" Jungkook said while holding Jin's hand in the car.
"Yeah I'm sure, when will you come back here?"
"I don't know, I'll be there very long, I have a lot of things to do"
"Very long?" Jin looked at Jungkook's face before he turned his face forward.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Jungkook pulled Jin's body close to him, letting his head rest on his chest.
"Nothing, I'll just miss this moment"
"Then come with me and that way you won't miss it, we will do it every day"
"But I can't, I can't leave my best friend, my job, I can't"
"Are you still going to accept clients after this?" Jin just nodded.
"Are you going to forget what we did?"
"Of course not, you made it hard to forget" Jin hugged Jungkook tightly as if asking him to stay here. Stay with him.
When they arrived at the airport, Jungkook's hand never left Jin. He continued to hold Jin until he arrived at the departure gate. Jungkook stood in front of Jin and cupped his cheek.
"Take care of yourself" Jin just nodded.
"Jungkook.."
"Hmm"
"What if I don't change my mind?"
"It's okay, it's your choice, but just like you, I won't change either, I will try to make you quit your job and live with me"
"No, find someone else, not me"
"This is my choice isn't it?"
"But find someone else Jungkook"
"I'll come back and look for you" Jungkook hugged Jin tightly.
"Don't come back if it's just to find me Jungkook"
"I'll call when I get there"
Jungkook let go of his embrace and their hands fell apart as Jungkook drifted further away. He waved his hand at Jin and Jin just smiled. He was never like this with his clients. When Jungkook disappeared from his eyes he felt so lost, but he realized who he was. What makes him different from Jungkook and the reason why he doesn't want to be with him.
Jin returned to his flat, escorted by Jungkook's private driver and when he entered his unit he immediately dropped his body on the bed with his stomach lying down. As his hand slipped under the pillow he felt something, a paper. He took it and sat on the bed.
"Hospital?"
An envelope from the hospital, he opened the envelope and how surprised he was by what he found. That's a doctor's diagnosis letter about Jimin's health.
Jin waits for Jimin in his small living room, his ragged couch, with a letter in his hand, his puffy and red eyes indicating he's been crying. His heart was broken at that moment, when he found out what his best friend was going through.
The sound of the door opening, Jimin appeared with a happy smile when he saw Jin.
"Hey you're home.. Jin.. what are you holding?" The smile suddenly disappeared from Jimin's face, he walked over to Jin and knelt in front of him.
"Jin I can explain everything, I--"
"Why? Why did you hide all this from me huh? Am I not your best friend? You told me we only have each other, but why should I find it myself? Since when Jimin?"
"Jin, it's not like that, I--"
"SINCE WHEN!!" Jimin flinched at Jin's scream. Jin's tears flowed profusely.
"Jin, I'm sorry, I don't want to make you worry, I know we're not okay, you need money and so do I, with my illness it just adds to your burden, I don't want you--"
"What? Did you hear what you said? You think hiding it from me can make me happier? I thought we were best friends, but I guess--"
"Jin.. please don't say that, I'm sorry, please I'm sorry, I know I hid it wrong but don't say things like that, only you I have, please"
"Me too, you're the only one I have, is it hard to open up with me? Do you think if something happened to you wouldn't make me feel guilty? You're the only one I have Jimin, don't ever hide anything from me" Jimin immediately hugged Jin and didn't stop asking sorry to him. Jimin's blood cancer has just entered the early stages, but still he has to take treatment and the price for the medicine is very expensive. Working in a cafe as a barista will not be enough to pay for all the treatments.
