Last weeks event wasn't something you would enjoy, but it was an important day for Y/N's and Jeongin's future, for their story. It was the day things changed, well kinda. Upon leaving Jeongin with the words 'we aren't friends' he was feeling lost.

He sat on the bathroom floor before class and had some time to think - about everything that is - he decided he should step up his game, actually try to get somewhere with Y/N, to make her his. Well, honestly, he was okay with just being friends - he wouldn't mind if more happened though. It's just, he wasn't confident in making someone fall for him, especially someone as amazing as her. Simply said, he will take whatever he can get - in hopes of the best.

School was over, students were running through the halls, not wanting to get stuck in - what they called - traffic. The endless teenagers walked, or ran, their way to the lockers - putting away if not getting some books - before going home. Our protagonists, Jeongin and Y/N, were no where to be seen though. Everyone but them were in the halls - maybe the two are currently together? Sorry to disappoint, but they are not. Y/N had stayed back in class as her teacher told her to, Jeongin obviously didn't - he wanted to but he didn't.

Sighing the boy threw his backpack over his shoulder, ready to leave the school ground. With no one in the way it was rather relaxing to walk out. It wasn't that loud.

Jeongin let his body loosen up with every step he took - trying to walk as comfortable as he can - and closed his eyes, forgetting that there still were people around whom he could run into.

God decided to make it their thing, as Jeongin crashed into Y/N. His head snapped towards the girl as she looked down - clearly avoiding eye contact - in hopes of not starting a conversation. "Sorry Y/Nnie~" The boy apologised sheepishly, letting his hands rest on the girls shoulders. "I didn't see you there." Jeongin grinned at his remark, the girl hated to be teased about her hight. It's not that she was extremely short - she just wasn't that tall either.

"Stop it, Yang." She said, absolutely hating the interaction. The only thing she wanted to do right now was get home - and Jeongin was preventing her from doing so. Since last week he has been bothering her even more then normally and she was annoyed. She wasn't particularly introverted but the girl definitely didn't enjoy any form of interactions. Though she doesn't hesitate to walk up to a teacher and ask to help them. Honestly speaking, she only does that for the grades, but still! She still won't hesitate to help 'em out.

"Common, I didn't even say you're short!" "But you were hinting it. That's just as annoying." Jeongin finally let go of the girl and took a step back, letting his eyes wander her up and down. "What do you think you're doing?" "Guessing how tall you are..1.65?" Y/N was offended by the younger, she clearly wasn't that short. "That's fucked up. I'm 1.70 on the dot." "HA! I'm 2cm taller!"

Jeongin was enjoying this, maybe a little too much but who cares. Teasing Y/N like this felt like they were friends, like they actually got along. Of course in reality that wasn't the case, it felt nice to imagine it though. You and your crush, teasing each other, joking around, it sounds fun - doesn't it?

Unfortunately though, Y/N wasn't enjoying this as much. She didn't hate Jeongin or anything, she just didn't know what to do with him. How to react to his actions. She was just awkward and didn't want to let it show.

"You better shut up before I throw my fucking shoe at you." The boy was surprised by her choice of words, he had expected something else. Maybe something a tad bit nicer. "Yeez Y/N noona, calm down. I'm just stating facts." He let out a chuckle, not realising how mad the girl actually was. She tsked at the boy, now only wanting to get home even faster. It's really no secret, Jeongin was getting on her nerves and she was growing impatient with him.

——

Y/N had created some distance between the two of them, as Jeongin kept teasing the girl, occasionally getting a few comments back. In the end, she couldn't handle all the jokes - and the few pick up lines the younger had told her - and snapped. The thin thread her nerves were hanging on, finally snapped.

"Can you shut up!?" The girl angrily shot at Jeongin, fists clenched and body stiffened. She tried to get off her shoe but struggled a bit, which resulted in her jumping on one foot. The boy who's just been screamed at stood still. He didn't dare to move a millimetre. He was completely baffled.

Yeah, he had been teasing the girl and yeah, he knew she didn't particularly like it, but he didn't think she would snap this quickly. And to be mad? It didn't suit her.

Y/N was able to get her shoe off and with a quick motion she threw it at Jeongin. Without fucking hesitation. "Aish!" The boy let out, luckily he had some good reflexes because if not the shoe would've hit him right in the face. His arms had rescued him. Jeongin picked up the shoe that was thrown at him without mercy and was about to give it back when a better idea crossed his mind. "What if I just kept it?" I know, what a brilliant idea - right? ..right?

He held the shoe tightly with his right hand - not planning on letting go anytime soon. Y/N only sighed as some of the anger had finally left her, but after realising Jeongin wasn't going to give her back her shoe she was pissed - once again - if not still. "Yang. Give me the shoe." Oh she wasn't having it, do those words sound familiar? Yes? That's because she wasn't having it a week ago either - and you know how that ended. Today though, instead of taking her anger out with words, she decided to leave it be and just go home. Without her shoe.

She didn't have the nerve to talk with the boy any further and just left.

And he, was once again left alone. In the hallway. Feeling like absolute trash. "what have I done." Were the words that echoed in his head as his crush was walking away - most probably not wanting to ever talk to him again. Jeongin looked down at the shoe he still had in his hands, sneakers. He let out a sigh like the girl had earlier and let his body relax once again, he allowed his eyes to search for the older that he liked, but she was already out of sight. His hands balled into fists - as much as the shoe allowed it to - and his shoulders stiffened. What had he just done?

I'm experimenting with my writing style a bit..what do you think of it? It's like noisy or sth

Anyway, I'm feeling motivated again and might try to get a chapter for 'music full of emotion' done..it could take a while tho. I have the next 5 chapters all planned out and everything, but it's just the writing that's getting to my head.

Moving on, stay safe y'all. eat something if you can, stay hydrated and please don't be a silent reader! Vote and comment!

Love, Hajoon
